Easy way to compare. Take the number of GOTY awards Gears got across the internet and then divide that by half and that equals the ammount of GOTY nominations that RFOM got.

Alot of Resistance is generic to me. Although, if there were more games worth playing on the PS3, i'd gladly pick up a PS3 and Resistance with those few other games.

I've never played a JRPG in my life because they look uninteresting. I do like some racers, of course the ones that are too realistic are obviously boring. For example I loved Rallisport Challenge 2 but hated Forza.

I like Rallisport Challenge 1 & 2 and Forza personally. I like the PGR series and Colin Mcrae series. Not a big fan of Gran Turismo though. Had Gran Turismo 3 and got just incredibly bored of it. JRPG's are fun if you know what you're doing. They really can be great.

Burnout=King of racers,people hate realistic racing sims because they are too hard and if they made them too easy they are boring.GTR was an awesome game but people like more games like Flatout(The poor man Burnout.) than a relaistic sim were you need skill and patience.

I have both games but we all know that gears is the better all around game in the single player mode. RFOM destroys GEOW though in the multi-player mode and RFOM will be enjoyed longer then GEOW, just ask anyone who has both games. GEOW is ok online but it gets boring fast with 4 on 4 combat, where resistance u can have a 20 on 20, or u can have deathmatch with 39 others just making it a warzone to keep u busy at all times. I love both games but RFOM in my opinion is just alot of funner online, and keeps me playing it everyday.

imo geow easily. resistance was ok but i found myself getting bored with it after a few hours of play. the online is pretty decent but nothing something i would keep going back to.

Honestly after finishing Gears and playing online I really didn't know how people could actually buy this. It's an excellent rent, like DMC and FF, but man I was bored after finishing the campaign. However, I'm still enjoying RFoM...
