I can watch lord of the rings on my dvd player, I don't need a pc mod for an inferior experience, sound, graphics, and storytelling.

Each TW soldier has 2000 polygons the game can have up to 24000 soldiers...you do the math...

    I would also add that more characters with less detail is less impressive to me than what Gears does, and since graphical taste and preference is opinion, there is no sense in arguing about it.

This game graphically buttf*** Gears. Get over yourselves. Your $400 console is not the be-all, end-all. Plus, Gears has been owned many times over. Mass Effect, anyone?Redfingers

    Obviously computers will outpace consoles. It happens every cycle. However, for $400 I get a unified experience with great graphics and no need to worry about installation, system differences, hardware incompatability, and upgrading hardware. It is a trade-off I am willing to make.

    As for Mass Effect, you should not use a game that is not released. Anything could happen between now and release.

Arent war movie battles like Troy/Gladiator/LOTR impressive? This is how this game is...like LoTR...

Its true that it takes two 8800GTX in SLI on a heavily overclocked C2D6600 to max this game...However this is a testamentto its epicness...

It blows anything out of the water the GS review states this clearly...

Doesnt follow conventions? For Christs sake the game has NO real time building or resourcecollecting!!! Ask any RTS fan if that is RTS...SEGA calls it like that to not alienate all teh RTS fans its pure PR...

If you want same performance as the consoles you dont have to upgrade...the console settings are quite low...(720p/4xAA/NoAF/30fps)...

You only have to uograde if you whant to have a better graphical experience than a console (technically) you get what you paid for...

A $900 PC will perform same as the 360 for the entire lifespan of the console the settings will allow this...Getting a gaming PC is practically like getting just an additional GPU for your NON gaming PC...which is $270...

PS by impressive I meant objectively aweinspiring...
