Gears xbox360 Vs. UT3 ps3 (Graphically)

i have decided to make this thread because recently i have been seeing some posts about how ppl seem to think gears of war is still graphically superior to any ps3 game which is laughable!

unreal tournament has been confirmed by Epic to be visually better than gears and the game is on ps3 and pc as of right now. there is no need to use uncharted to compare graphics with gears when ut3 beats down gears anyway!

Well opinion on visuals vary but the scores remain the same....... Gears = 9.6 and GOTY so just saying.

if you read properly you would see that i am talking about visuals only. also i know gears is good i have played it on the pc.

Yeah UT3 is graphically better than Gears. Gears wouldn't get that 9.6 today^Masters_Chief

then thats a good thing the game wasent graded on graphics alone and today? come on youre making it sound like gears of war came out 5 years ago

gears single player is better than ut3 single player. but no one can deny the fact that ut3 multiplayer is simply more fun and better than gears online

yes because ut3 is based around multiplayer. the focus has always been around the multiplayer. gears multiplayer is laughable but the single player campaign is very good.

I really liked gears's multiplayer.

Host advantage and the occasional lag sucked, but it's not like it was unplayable.

well thats my point UT3 is a better online game tehn gears but thats not saying much. If youre a real unreal fan then UT3 is embarrassing

I guess this thread got a bit skewed of the graphics comparison where I dunno - gamers can disagree - sorry TC.

But since it seems we are now talking which one has better " on-line " play - I think the on-line co-op must be considered in that comparison and am unsure about UT3 but Gears shines there as well - how about UT3 ?

UT was fun...8 years ago or whenever the first one came out. Now it's old as dirt. New paint job same play. I guess maybe if I liked using vehicles in these types of games I would enjoy the new ones more but I don't.

GEARS online is fun and offers a unique experience. I just wish they would fix the wall glitch. First time I saw somebody do that was TF2 then I started playing Gears and I saw somebody do it in that. I would think it would be an easy fix.

Actually Gears is wayyy beettterr than UT3, UT3 didn't even score 90 overall including Gamespot.

proof nothing. he is just saying that there is more going on the screen at the same time. that has to do with improvments recently made to the engine( see Gears 2 promo video) and also with the fact that the gameplay for a normal FPS like Unreal has to have more going on then Gears would.

Even if you are right Cliffy B said Gears 2 would trump everything else so your bragging rights last either until unreal comes to 360 or when Gears 2 comes out. Either way your time is coming.

lol at your reaction to the proof. obviously in denial. i know gears 2 will be good looking i never bashed it you are jumping the gun here. im saying ut3 on ps3 is factually better looking than gears 1 on xbox360 and the devs have said it themselves. for anyone to argue that fact is just silly.

First off it doesn't matter. we're getting UT3 too in a few months. Second Gears is the better game. Sales show it, reviews show it, Gears was GOTY, the list goes on. Gears > UT3...shadow8585

Sorry, but I think that Unreal Tournament plays better and looks better. And please, for the love of god both UT3 and GeoW had terrible singleplayer. I just prefer Unreal Tournament because of the fast paced multiplayer compared to Gears of War.Pietrooper

Gears character models look better than UT3's but UT3 has more characters on screen, bigger environments.

Gears single player >>>>> UT3's

UT3 multiplayer >>>>> Gears

Gears is more innovative so I believe that's why it gets a better score.

UT3 is getting constant updates too, plus the inevitable huge bonus pack coming.

I think it's a tie.

thats my point. ut3 does not have better graphics just more things on screen at once which is pretty much what the dude from EPIC said.

1.) 360 gets UT3 so it dont matter

2.) gears 2 tech demo showed over 100 enemies running onscreen at once.
