These things normally (well pretty much always) turn out to be big flops. Best not to get hyped about it. The biggest surprise is ones that you don't know about, getting told about a surprise before it happened kinda defeateds the nature of a surprise.

Episode 3 would kick so much ass, but I don't think Valve is near mainstream enough to reveal it on the VGAs. We should just stop getting excited right now, for all we know it could be Guitar Hero: Hannah Montanna.

How would God of War 3 be either a surprise or a premiere? And Halo wouldn't be a surprise as we already know they're showing that off. Gears or a new UT, or even (unlikely) a new IP from Epic, is the best bet I'd say. Or it could be something completely random. It'd be pretty amazing if Retro showed off what they're working on. And that'd be like a super surprise since nobody has even considered it.

And hes says VGA history. Whats been the biggest suprise to come out of the show? I think they debuted the first Uncharted2 trailer there but if my memory serves me correct, it wasa Halo Reach situation (We knew it was coming thus dosent count).
