Gears ain't going to last much longer. Crysis comes out in one month and after that it's the end of this generation's game being graphical kings anymore. PC will take over like italways does. DA_B0MB

Dont get me wrong,n00b. GeOW is a great looking game.. but it lacks in the Coloring,Wide landscape and HDR department.

i wouldnt say superior, but i really do like the look of viva pinata.

Terrible distant textures??? Take a look at the buildings and bridge in that one pick, the textures are still very sharp back there.MIYAMOTOnext007

Don't make me bloody laugh. Oblivion is one of the ugliest games out there for character models, and comes in way, waaaay behind games like Gears and BioShock for architectural artistry.

Overall - Gears has better character models. S.T.A.L.K.E.R has higher res textures and more detailed environments. S.T.A.L.K.E.R also has better lighting (fully real-time lighting...), better foliage, and better gun models(I can get a pic with a good gun view to prove it...). Then if you add mods its not even a competition.

Best graphics has to go to Crysis at the current time, although you will need a pretty powerful PC to run this game. I havn't seen any smooth gameplay clips yet.

FFXIII and RE5 wil probably set the graphics standard for the PS3.
