:lol: im sorry but comparing Stalker to gears is just down right wrong. Gears blows it out of the water in EVERY SINGLE aspect. And yea I own stalker and I have the rig to run it @ max settings at 1680 X 1050 Gears looks better.shaggymcp
not really... I own both too, and honestly I think Stalker looks better.
I would disagree and say that Bioshock looks better graphically. However I'm referring to artstyle and atmosphere. If we went on the technical terms, I guess it's variable depending on the tech specs, but I don't know what they are for both games nor care...
No game out as of this moment has knocked off the king which is GeOW......Bioshock came very close and is very good graphically....but not quite.chikenfriedrice
Heavnely sword comes out next month and it will be the new king easy according to the reviews. And after playing the demo im going to have to agree.

Stalker looks like utter trash compared to Gears sorry. And yes I have played it on a high end rig. The simple structures and horrible char models just dont cut it.
I hope you dont mean Super Mario Galaxy and I hope thats a joke smg looks like a GC game and pails in comparison to any decent looking 360 or PS3 title.

To be quite literal with you, I'd have to say most 360 and PS3 games look pale in comparison to SMG.... unless its Viva Pinata ;)

No stalker looks better but gears PC will look better than STALKER.

Um no it doesnt it has slighly cleaner shadows and thats about it. Most of the DX10 bonuses for Bioshock were used to get better performance.
from what i saw water is shown more nicely, lighting looks better , smoke and particle effects look better etc in dx10. to me these small small improvements made the game look nicer on dx10
Stalker looked technically better but didn't cover everything with blur which is what "next gen" seems to do when a game's textures are a mess(Killzone 2 anyone?). Oblivion with Qarl's textures packs DESTROYS gears of war, no arguing about that. Medievil Total War 2 and Company of Heroes don't look as good but have hundreds and even thousands (In total War's case) more characters than any of the consoles could handle at that level.
Soon Gears of War is coming out and it's textures should be fixed, just bump up the resolution add some more AA and it will become the best looking game of course until UT3, then Crysis destroys the graphics department for the next 3-4 years.

You know absolutely nothing then. The PC version with Dx10 has much more detailed textures, soft particles (smoke looks more realistic and when the drones fly through it the smoke disperses like real smoke), water particles (water look even better on PC), more detailed character models. Sorry, but not only is Stalker greater than Gears, Bioshock is greater than both. I SERIOUSLY doubt that you have a good PC because a while back you kept spewing nonsense and bashing on the PC.
