So what games should I get? I am getting Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted. Is there any other games worth getting? Keep in mind I have a nice gaming PC and get all multiplats on PC, not console, so please don't mention games I can get on the PC also. I am not a sports fan, and only care for two racing series (gran turismo and need for speed). Are there any good RPG or adventure games for the PS3 yet? Does it tell in the manual about what size (type) HDD it is, so I can upgrade it to a bigger size? How oten do i have to charge the controller? When you buy a new controller (buying three extra controllers when I get my PS3), does it come with it's own charger? How are games saved, on the HDD, or on memory cards/sticks? Whats a good multiplayer beside resistance and warhawk? And last, but not least. Can you rip music and/or movies from your PC to your PS3?

Thanks in advance, and fanboys with stupid remarks....plan on seeing me ignore your responses and act as if you didn't even post. I am not interested in responding to ignorance, so don't expect it.

you can upgrade the HDD what ever size you want. Sony will come out with a new dual shock 3 controller sometime this year unless you don't care about the rumble. you will get with every controller u buy a usb cable that you can plug in the ps3 and charge the controller i charge my once a week or you can buy a extra charger were u can charge 4 controllers at the same time.

games i own and like

ninja gaiden sigma, resistance fall of man, Folklore

heavenly sword (its 8 hours long but a great game) u can download the demos for all the games i named

PSN

i have

wild arms, everyday shooter, super stardust, loco rocko, tekken 5

No, what I mean by the HDD isn't how large I can have. I mean what type is it so I buy the right type when I upgrade it?

Well, for games.. this year is the PS3s year. theres is great amount of games coming this year and much are reaching high levels of hype. ( resistance 2:united we fall, MGS4, and haze, etc.) you dont have to charge the controllers very often UNLESS you leave them on all night (NOTE: dont do that) games are saved on HDD and im not totally sure on music transfers between PC ps3(ive never tried it) but you can do it from the internet.

This is the year that Sony also abandons the PS3. It's been a good fight Sony, but I guess you surrender.

You could upgrade your PS3 HDD to any HDD size and type. The controllers are blue tooth enabled, you could charge em while you plug and play. I recommend you wait till the Duel Shock 3 with rumble comes out before you buy a bunch if controllers. You could save games through your HDD and/or Memory Cards. Since you like multiplats for your PC then you're set because I would recommend COD4, Resistance, Warhawk, and UT3. You could rip songs/videos/pictures onto your HDD but you can't play your music while you play.

Thanks, I am going to wait on buying extra controllers until they bring dualshock back. I don't care about not being able to play music while playing. I can do that on my PC and don't.

I guess the guy above you forgot to read my post, or he would have seen I am not going to respond to the stupid fanboy comments.

Ratchet and uncharted are good games to start with. You can upgrade your HDD to a bigger size, I think it tells how in the manual. The controller lasts really long so maybe every few weeks it might need a charge, which is done by connecting it with a usb cord to the ps3, no charger needed. games are saved on the HDD. You can rip music and videos from PC to PS3 or stream them if you want.

Well, your getting really the only two must haves on the PS3. I would say Folklore, some like it some don't. It's not my type of game but it might appeal to you. There's a demo in the PS Store, downloads take forever though, plus installation. Really nothing else your missing out on. Resistance maybe, but you already have a PC so i'm sure you have a better FPS available.

Why are you getting a PS3 though? I was looking at the PC lineup and I know if I had a good PC I would be busy. Any particular game you want on the PS3?

Why would you buy an overprice bluray player with no games?

ILurvDemCats

Actually the PS3 is considered the best blu-ray player on the market because it is essentially "future proof" since it allows for firmware upgrades...

Give Heavenly Sword a rent you will love it, I would buy Warhawk but Im not sure what kinda taste you have, and for 10 bucks you can get Everyday Shooter off the PSN its a great game.

As you can tell a lot of my games so far are multiplat.

One more thing since you said your a PC gamer you should really look at getting the Frag FX controller, incase you want to play Resistance with a controller your more comfortable with.

I am getting a PS3 because of games I can't get on the PC like MGS4, plus it is a bluray player, plus I have two daughters that are gamers (age 9 and 12). Also my girl plays. And yes, I will also be very busy on my PC.

Nah, I am getting the 80GB version for the extras, like BC, and more USB (what do I do for anything else I wish to connect after I contect my keyboard and mouse to the 40GB version?) port, plus memory card slots. Yes, I plan on using all those extras.

I am comfortable with the PS3 controller. I have a PS1 and PS2, so the PS3 controller will feel natural to me.
