YES! I just started playing this game and it's amazing!!! I heard from a few people that it was horrible. I don't know what's wrong with them.

The graphics are really good too.

Had the chance to play a bit recently and going to pick up my own copy. I'd have to agree and I actually was sort of against it being a fan of the earlier Silent Hill games. It's definitely worth picking up and probably one of Wii games I did enjoy this year. Can't wait to play more of it.

Im terribly disappointed.. [spoiler] at myself for not yet picking this game up... and I call myself a Silent Hill fan, I was probably turned off by those RE spinoffs and confused myself (I think) [/spoiler]

gar i hate myself for not liking horror games when i see these kind of news... i was hoping for LKS tho, but silent hill does look great.

I love Giant Bomb. Seems like one of the few sites that refuse to buy into hype. And dont really care what franchise theyre reviewing. If its mediocre or not living up to the franchises standards, then theyll review it like that. Their Wii GOTY was a good choice. Bombcast is hilarious too.

Ibought that game at launch and I still haven't bothered to beat it - even though Im a SH fan. I really don't like the trial-and-error chase parts so I put the game down and never picked it back up. I may someday though...

This game won't be the same or as atmospheric without the motion controls and wiimote speaker. They both add a lot of ambience to the game. So well done here.

I personally was extremely dissapointed with the game as a whole, it was an amazing concept but failed to deliver. This is obviously not an opinion shared by the majority but I just feel the game could have been so much more. I was hardly ever scared due to the fact you knew when you were in danger, there was absolutely no time you don't know your in danger, even those points were painted out to you like a giant (!) mark that it was going to hit the fan. puzzles failed to live up to some of the ingenious iterations the series is famous for. and as much as I loved the psychiatrist his segments were often too short and "Seemingly" had little effect on the game itself, you need to play the game a second time just to see what changes in the game. I think the game would have been overall much better if the, therapist sessions were a bit longer and you got to know him/his methods a bit better you feel rather disconected from him and he almost feels out of place with his sometimes minute long interuptions. They could have seriously shaken the bowl with maybe more than ONE type of monster, givin "These monsters had hundreds of animations and they change to represent your fears" you spent next to no time actually looking at them as you are concentrating on where the next door to smash through is. I found the motion controls were clunky when trying to escape the monsters as well to the point where my character would do a 360 into the monsters at the worst times and would fail to shake them off. Would have been much better if the monsters represented the persons individual fears of the areas. Could easilly be interpreted from therapist sessions involving the explored areas, I found the final evaluation to be the best part of the game. I would play it again if the gameplay itself didn't turn me off so much.

It was Shadow Complex, followed by ODST and Forza (for best 360-only game). Not surprising since they're not so much into ODST as some other sites are.
