I played dead rising for like 90 minutes and got bored with it and havent touched it sense. I think its the controlls and the fact that aiming is ridiculous, ill probably just get the wii version later on seeing as they focus on the wiimote for aiming.Gh0st_Of_0nyx

From the sounds of it, don't. Just stick with your PC. I myself have a 360, PS3, and gaming PC and the gaming PC gets most of my time. Multiplat FPS are better on it and my 360 scratches the crap out of my games. My PS3 is a blu ray player but I do hop on Warhawk sometimes and MGS4 was great. But yeah don't buy one, you won't enjoy it enough to warrant the expensive price tag.

Knowing "HD" is nothing but marketing for resolutions that have been around for years, I find something about the term "HD console" irritating. You should hear some people make such a fuss about this being the HD gaming era, as if previous consoles never upped in res each generation.

Another thing I don't get, people boasting about playing their games on a 1080p TV. Last I checked only a extreme minority of console games can do 1920x1080 and they tend to perform badly, with the majority being 720p. So what does it matter if you are playing on a 1080p TV? The image is just being stretched more. They also make a deal about the progressive part, all PC monitors are progressive as standard; it is only a highlight on TVs.

I just don't get some people.

Anyhow there are some games you might need a console for, fables 2, gears of war 2, killzone 2, LBP, ressistance 2,

But chances are what will happen to you happend to me, got a PS3 got excited and then my PS3 gathered dust. The only game been played on the PS3 is the force unleashed (can't believe i spent £40 on it)

Oh and the irony, some demos come out faster on a console these days, so i use the PS3 to check some demos like mercs 2, pure and mirrors edge (come out soon)

There's not much reason to buy one TBH. PCV plays practically every good 360 game and PS3 hasn't got much in the way of exclusives

Buy a DS and PSP.

btw Crooked I + Chino XL = epic.

Well it's alot of fun to play splitscreen and stuff with your friends.

Take Rock Band for instance alot of fun you can have with friends in the same room as you, you can't get that experience on the PC which is one of the reasons I still buy consoles.

Unless of course you're anti social then there is really no benefit for you.
