You read the wrong topic,it says Wii or Ps3.Self-owned. I mentioned 360 earlier and forgot the debate topic was only PS3/Wii. My most epic phail yet...
Get a Ps3. Why? 1)Your investment will guarantee you all the popular games. 2)Your investment will guarantee you great exclusives. 3)Your investment will guarantee you the superior HD format. 4)Your investment will guarantee you Online support for the games.(Free Online support at that). 5)Your investment will guarantee you Online browsing from your console. These are a few quality reasons.Dualshockin
You'll probably be happy with both consoles.
But I recommend the Wii, personally, especially if you have a 360/PC already. It has a great lineup, especially 1st party and I find it more exciting. Then of course there is the fact that it's much less in terms of money.
But again, you'll be happy with either... I just think you'll be more happy with Wii. ;) [Especially if you get Metroid Prime 3]

1) Oblivion and R6:V are multiplats.
2) Remakes aren't exclusives, so NGS isn't exclusive.
3) Just because you can afford something doesn't mean its worth buying.

5) All browsers on consoles suck, and are pretty much useless to boot.
please...no fanboy crapdkhw
It depends. 1.) Are you a casual gamer or a hardcore gamer and 2.) do you have any other systems.
If you already have the 360, then get the Wii. Most of the PS3's great games will also be released for the 360 so there's no need to get both. If you do not own a 360, it depends mostly on your preference. Do you like "kiddy" games like Super Mario or are you more into the gorey, bloody games?

[QUOTE="Dualshockin"]I was talking about the Ps3.foxhound_fox
I own both systems and actually work in game sales. Here is my honest opinion.
I will sort of review both systems for you.
Wii:
Best games so far: Metriod 3, Zelda: TP, Resident Evil 4 (If you are one of the few unlucky ones who didn't play it yet).
Virtual Console: Some nice games up there (if you can afford them). If you want them ofcourse.
Online: ...No dedicated online service. Friends codes suck, thats all that I will say. It does have a web-browser also, which is cool. Otherwise you get useless channels like weather, news, etc.
Great system if you like to game with your friends AT HOME. If you prefer to play single player games, besides the ones I listed, theres nothing really on there. For me, the novelty wore off pretty fast (matter of 2-3 weeks actually).
Graphics: 5 (cmon now, this is NEXT GENERATION, We dont need last centry hardware).
Controls: 8 (fun motion/tilt if thats what you are into, mostly hit or miss)
Value: 4 (As I said, wore off real quick, might not be true for some, but it is for me).
Games: 8 (Some great games out, some great games to come, but overall hindered by not getting many of the multiplats and normally having worse versions of the ones that are multiplats. Also, it sucks when only 2-3 of your 80 games out are worth playing).
512MB built in flash memory, which os pretty lame in the age of harddrives. Has Wi-Fi. Backwards compatible with GameCube.
The controller is one of the most innovative things in the industrys history. Motion/Tilt Sensing.
SCORE: 7
Fun system but it cannot thrive with such old technology. Doesnt even play DVDs, my PS2 did that for crying out loud. Good system if you are a party gamer, terrible for online. Ok for single player, nothing special.
PS3:
Best games so far: Resistance: FOM, Warhawk, NGS (if you didn't play on XBOX). Also some great upcoming games.
PS Store: Lets you buy old PS1 games, free demos, trailers, and much much more.
Online: PSN, HOME. Good start, great future. It can only get better. 100% free. You can also use the Web-Browser and have up to 6 windows open at once.
Blu-Ray: Like it or not, Blu-Ray is a great addition to video games and also to entertainment. It is here to stay and rule as the ruling format.
Great system, will have a great variety of features, including remote play /w PSP and several other things. It has a 60GB hardriver which can easily be upgraded to a huge size. Tilt sensing controller with built-in battery, no Rumble however, which should be release some time this year.
Has Wi-Fi, Backwards compatibility with PS1 and PS2.
Overall, the games have been slow. Tough architecture which makes the devs get lazy and not really try sometimes, however, some devs are working extra hard to get used to it.
Graphics: 9 (Only PC will get a 10 :D)
Controls: 7 (Same design controller as PS2 for the most part. Triggers on R2 and L2 can be annoying sometimes. Also, some people like tild sensing, other dont. No rumble right now, along with mostly weak SIXAXIS sequences make it somewhat underwhelming).
Value: 9 (It will last you a long time and will also serve other purposes. The price is definitely worth it for what you get).
Games: 6 (As I said, games are coming out pretty slow, although some games are due soon. However this is based on NOW).
SCORE: 8.5
Although it has much less games than the Wii, it is still overall a better library. Great features. I have previously stated everything already.
Look for the PS3 to inprove on on its shortcomings and take over the market as PS1 and PS2 did.
I definitely recommend the PS3 over a Wii ANYDAY. Unless you are about 7-9 years old and will not be making use of the PS3's huge list of features ofcourse.
1) what's this? you gotta use multiplats to justify ps3's lack of games?1)You're saying I have to use games that are available on the Ps3 to justify Ps3's lack of games?I hope you notice the problem with this. 2)If you can show me the official cover of Ninja Gaiden Sigma on the PC/360/Wii,I will gladly admit I was wrong :) 3)If that's what you believe. 4)You honestly believe there aren't 10 Ps3 games with Online features? 5)Forgive me for not knowing about a product I do not have. Your posting pattern is similar to a certain user I know,I wonder...

Get a Wii hands down (if you can find one). It's cheaper and will have much better games atleast for this year.
You have Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Mario Kart Wii coming early 2008. It's all ya need along with Wii Sports and Zelda (maybe Super Paper Mario).
Get a PS3 next year when it actually gets its games.
This is assuming you don't have a 360 already. If you don't the 360 is a no brainer. Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, PGR4 all the multiplatforms (better than the PS3 for many of them). And cheaper.

True, but I have had a terrible experience with the Ds Browser, thus I can't even begin to imagine how the Wii one will work.http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=games&platform=1028&mode=all&sort=score&dlx_type=all&sortdir=asc

Go to both of those links and see which one has the most games you like. All fanboy bickering aside, it comes down to your personal preference in games.
