Truth be told GOW, either game never killed NG in sales. I mean GOW1 I dont think did over 3 Mill maybe even 2.5 and NG I think did atleast 700k as that link that guy showed said. So I dont seeing NG as being badly beaten. Especially comparing the different userbases of the two in terms of sheer volume

So i guess that pretty much destroys all the "Sony will discontinue PS3" talk seeing as how one of the biggest franchises of gaming is announced for 2009.. Microsoft better get to work, they already have a lot of work to do in 2008 competing with the likes of Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5, Socom, Little Big Planet, Home,MGS4,Final Fantasy XIII and White knight, if that wasnt enough Now MS has to worry about 2009 competing with God Of war 3 although Im pretty sure Gears 2 will be coming out in 09 also but still, MS definatley has work cut out for them for the next couple of years..

360 fans will be fulfilling all their action needs with NG2 way before then

it's funny to see fanboys arguing about what game is the bigger system seller when either games sell a whole lot to begin with. both NG and GOW are highly acclaimed and are certainly loved by some (myself included) - but games that will end up near the top of highest selling games of the year they most certainly are not.

i did say once before tho that i'll likely consider buying a PS3 once when GOW3 comes out though - so you should at least be getting one system sold due to this game. i'll probably wait off until this time next year after another 2 price drops and get it for half the price you fanboys bought it for, and still have only missed out on a handful of games.

Go watch the Sony E3 press conference. You know, the place where Sony actually showed games. There's the fact for you. And GoW is a hardcore title. It doesn't matter if there's a 20 million userbase to that game or 120 million userbase. The ones who bought GoW are the ones who buy consoles in their first year. Actually, Id consider Ninja Gaiden more succesful than God of War. Considering the user base advantage & large amounts of hype God of War has had. Imagine Ninja Gaiden on a console with 100 million owners, and a multi-million dollar add campaign.

Ninja Gaiden been suckin since "88" I just dont like the new ones.. I would take GOW over NG anyday!!
