God of War 4(2012) Multiplayer detailed. Co-op unlikely.

"PSM3 has heard from another source that God of War 4 is coming, and will hit in September 2012," the mag reports in its latest issue, which is out next week and with subscribers now."

Details on GOW4's Multiplayer:

- Team Deathmatch will support 16 players.

- The mode will consist of two teams.

- The first team will consist of 1 player, while the second team consist of 15 players.

- The first team will be given the option to play as either Kratos or Deimos(Kratos' brother from GOW3). The second team will be given the option to play as multiple races of mythical creatures.

- The round ends if Kratos/Deimos is defeated.

while i do think there will be a GOW4 eventually, this seems fake...

honestly it would make more sense having a SP CO-OP mode considering the GOW is all about its sp campaign rather then Mp with a deathmatch/ team deathmatch modes..

Never said it was easy did I? That wasn't the issue at all. The problem is that a lot of the missions were literally impossible with the team mate AI. No matter how good you are you can only babysit so much. So then you have to resort to a real co-op partner, as intended of course. Problem is that if you are a high level player then good luck finding someone else capable of tackling those really difficult missions. So then you have to go to different boards and try to find other highly skilled NG players team up with. Unfortunately that is not a huge number of people. But lets just say you happen to find that fellow bad ass and arrange a time to play. Then you have to deal with the absolute dog **** netcode.

They took one of the most fun things in the 3d Gaidens, which was a single player mission mode that solely depends on your personal skills at the game and turned it into a half assed multiplayer mode that no matter how great you are at the game you have to deal with other outside factors to even have a chance.

Multiplayer should not be shoe-horned into every game, especially from a series that has been built around the sp experience for over 20 years and if a dev feels he must experiment with a mp option it should never be at the expense of one of the games most enjoyable modes.
