God of War Lite is "alright", Brawl is GotY, Facts

So, recently all Wii haters were saying "Gamespot will give Brawl an 8, max".

Now, God of War for PSP gets a mediocre score, because its a mediocre game, imo, and the reviewers(8.5 is mediocre, anything lower and you wouldn't have bought it, right?).

Brawl scores a 9.5, basically the new 10.

So, question, did you make up your mind about these games before you saw the reviews for them, and do you still think Brawl sucks, or do you still care what reviewers say when they say Brawl is possible the best game of the generation, and certainly the best game of the year?

I, personally, think you are mostly all just Wii haters, and don't care that Brawl is better than whatever your playing, you just hate it because your fanboys.

Those games won't score higher on Gamestop, and yes, most will score lower.

Face facts, ffs. You need to realize 9.5 games will be nominated, and Brawl could win. I'm not saying it will win, but I'm saying it certainly could.

Fanboys get owned, imo. People hated on this game so much, until Gamespot gave it a perfect score. Now, their hatred is a sad parody of themselves as fanboys. Am I wrong? No, I'm not. I don't post wrong things.

Anything in the 5-range is considered mediocre, the 8-range is considered great. Chains of Olympus scored 8.5.

9.5 is not the new 10. The score of 10 still exists, does it not? If they think a game deserves a 10, they'll give it a 10.

And considering this is March, I think it's a bit early to be calling it the best game of the year when it's released in the third month of the year, which means we still have 9 more months of awesome games to go.

I like how you switched this... Wii haters didnt say that. Brawl fans said it because of the previous SSBB reviews. If anything Cows and Lemings said the game is so hyped that the official hype thread should be AAA-AAAA.

Your acting like 9.5 is impossible to get.

So I guess 8.5 is "alright" but a 9.5 is the perfect score.

Because now games can't even actually get close to a 10. AAA now will generally just get a 9 and near perfect games will now only get a 9.5.meetroid8

I think its way too early to be calling GOTY.. Specially when we have already had a few recent promising titles.. Such as Sins of a Solar Empire..

Ridiculous, ten points allows for more variation in reviews, especially when you don't screw it up like the half point jumps with Gamespot. If anything reviewers should be changing to the ten points scale.

GTAIV will get 9.5 and GOTY.

But I'm happy to see SSBB do well... I thought it would be harshly marked here. MGSIV might get 9.5 too.

Actually MGS4 will be GOTY, IMO, unless GS gives it an 8.5 for having too much customization. kool-aids

The phrase you are thinking of are "identity crisis".

If it does end up getting a 9.5, this place is going to be overrun with sheep touting brawl making them even more annoying. :PStevo_the_gamer
