let the drooling commence. Feel free to add more PGR4 shots to the thread.

GT blows away every racing game everytime its released... why does anybody think GT5 will be any different
I'm sorry but i actualy have the game and its playing RIGHT now (i'm listening to the soundtrack) and those enhanced photo screen shots do not represent the actual graphics.

if you are gaming on a 56" 1080p samsung DLP like me, it looks damn close. Proof right here. looks better in motion

Yeah, I have no clue what cedmin is talking about. It looks the same when I'm playing it. The weather effects are amazing and environments are amazing. All GT has is car models.
Graphics- Grand Turismo 5 > PGR4
Enjoyment- PGR4 > Gran Turismo 5

GT5 obviously looks amazing, but one thing PGR has over it is weather effects, and with the built up water and ice on the vehicle, with windshield wipers that actually wipe away water, in addtion to the motion blur, and camera shake technique, PGR4 has graphical quality that even GT5 cant match.

How do you judge a game that isn't even out yet?
What system is this for? PS1 or N64?XenoNinja
r u seriously a sheep making fun of a systems graphics? anyway i think it looks good but gt5 will blow it away
Sorry TC, this doesn't even come close. For reference, I'd like you to look at the Gamespot screens for each game.
Forza blew GT4 away two months later.GT blows away every racing game everytime its released... why does anybody think GT5 will be any different

That, and, since when has a single PGR outscored any GT?
Never mind...lol. I just looked. A few did. Still, enjoyment is subjective A), and GT is definitely an enjoyable experience.
 thats not in gameazshorty2003
Its in-game, just not GAMEPLAY. They used photo mode which can alter the game's looks and those pictures that were posted of the game are from off screen with a camera. We all know it makes most games looks better all the time in some way.

ok....so again i say, that not in-game. when i see an on screen display, time remaining, little map in the corner, speedometer to the side, kudos score, then fine. until then. thats not in-game, and it doesnt matter how good the CG shots look.

PGR 4 looks great photo mode or not, get over it.

oh i agree, those phots look amazing. but when i play the game im not playing photos, am i?
this is in-game.
looks good. but nothing like those pretty photos. jaggy cars, and every in-game shot i find has that serious blur effect like need for speed underground.
i love my 360 to death. i really do. but i dont think people should go crazy over pictures of a game thats not what youre actually playing.

Low res Gamespot screens....:|
i like this pic :)
and to be honest, when your running at 60fps racing, you really dont notice jaggies unless your a prick.
Gran turismo is still the best looking racer around. Both pgr4 and GT5, make forza look like carp.DarkT33
trading forza 2 for OB tommorow because PGR4 dominates.

most of those screens r from photoshop mode, failure. And i also want to know what is ur point for posting all them four screenshots that are not gameplay screens?
Chetnik07
yes because photo mode is so much different than the gameplay....but of course you havent played the game.

Lol, Seince when do graphics make a racing game? I'd assume the physics do. Forza, Really blew me away with how the cars act. Every turn on the trac bar and psi really counts. It's amazing how on those tight technical tracks you really have to work the gas/brake. When your flying down the ring and someone parks there bumper under your spoiler, You can feel yourself lose that downforce. And that to me is why forza owns. Heres an honest question: How do you controll the throttle without triggers on the controller? If the 360 didn't have triggers on the controller all my lap times would be like 5 secounds shorter. I haven't played GT5 but from how much Pholphony(Spelling) is focusing on graphics I can assume the cars handling won't be much of an advancment from gt4. I almost hope GT5 can pull it off. Competetion has never hurt the consumers.(More work into Forza 3)
I mean think of it this way: If forza looks as bad as you all say, It must have done something right becouse it's still AAA

I have and yes it looks the same on my hdtv (upscaled 1080p).
Here are good examples of what a webcam can do to remove jaggies from a game
What is the differenve between these photos and the actual game in action? Less or no jaggies.
Thats my point. The game has quiet a few jaggies in it.
Oh and i just took these photos. See how they look alot like yours.
