What? A possibly good game of my favorite monster is going to be exclusive to the ps3? :(
There have been Godzilla games in the past. Don't remember if they were any good or not. It's been so long.
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla:_Destroy_All_Monsters_Melee
Godzilla: Save The Earth - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla:_Save_the_Earth
Not just PS3 exclusive, Japan exclusive....interesting move by Namco Bandai.
Yeah, that sucks. I really hope they reconsider
Namco is moving more and more exclusively to Japan it seems. They show that they straight up don't understand business in the west with the F2P release of Ace Combat Infinity.

I know there's been Godzilla games in the past but I'm talking about more recently so.

I do not get games being exclusive to Japan, if they don't want to spend money on CD cases, just sell it as a digital title
obviously because only japanese people will buy this and ps3 has a bigger install base than ps4.
Wrong, more than just Japanese people would buy this. Godzilla is pretty universal. Hence the recent US release of the new Godzilla.
We need a Godzilla game from a human perspective. Sure being godzilla is badass an all but a game based on the human side of it could be really damn good.

Agreed, kinda like the Peter Jackson's King Kong game, a mix of play between the human and monster. That game was damn good, especially for movie-licensed title.

ehh
But wasn't there just a few members that were saying that the PS3 hurts their eyes now that they have a PS4? Surely they aren't going to go back on their words now.
As I stated before, there is no reason to own a PS4 as of now. The PS3 is still getting most of the games that are on the PS4.
The best Godzilla game is still Godzilla Unleashed

But what can the humans do though?
I demand the epic dropkick move to be included in this game. If a Godzilla game is to be made, it must include this. Mandatory requirement. Maybe EA can lend the developers their UFC engine tech for a Godzilla fighting game. DAYUM!, Think of dat smack-down...
Oh and if anybody is wondering, yes that gif is from an actual Godzilla movie. Godzilla vs Megalon. It was that awesome.
Obviously because only japanese people will buy this and ps3 has a bigger install base than ps4.
This is more of a reason it should come to the states. The Godzilla movie made $195 million in the US in 6 weeks. It will easily make another $200 million in the rest of the world. That means the Godzilla brand is very popular all over the world. There's no reason to keep this game in Japan only. This game should be on every system.
Godzilla Destroy All Monsters - It's a PS2 game. There are actually two of them. They are 4 Player games (All same system) and yes, they are Backwards compatible on the Ps3 and still hold up! The one I have has about 15 or so Godzilla Monsters, Super awesome!
Also the 4 player mode works on Ps3!

Lems already begging for port.

I own PS3 & PS4 dumbass. I don't need to beg for anything. Stop making a fool out of yourself. The game would sell a lot more units on multiple systems and handhelds. I've played Godzilla games on PS2 and Gamecube systems.

Please stop filling forum with begging for port to your precious xbox. Beg the developer, or if not you will have to play Godzilla game on ps3. This will probably not being AAA title anyways.

LOL! I don't even....I want to know what shrooms Toho execs were on when they came up with this.

Eh, pretty much all have a human perspective, most of the time it's campy and endearing. In Godzilla VS Destroyah it's the humans who kill Godzilla and they cry for poor old Godzilla, even though he basically killed half the population of the city.
If you mean in the style of "Cloverfield" **** no. Part of the fun of Godzilla is watching giant monsters fight like it's WWE match. The humans (as shown by cloverfield) are usually the least interesting aspect. Godzilla 2014's main problem is that it tried too hard to be "gritty" and "what if" rather than just showing what people wanted to see, monsters hitting each other.

Cause you know, that's what the original Godzilla film was all about, right?

Nobody mentioned he original Godzilla. Nor do any of the sequels have a requirement to be like it. Indeed, it's the many sequels that have spread Godzilla's appeal and kept the characters legacy alive.
Not sure what the point of this random and baseless comment was.
Any more random comments?

Director Gareth Edwards has gone on record stating he wanted to capture the tone of the original film for the 2014 reboot. He wasn't out to make "Pacific Rim 2", FYI.
Hopefully it's better than the craptastic Godzilla movie that came out in theaters a few months back..

Another random comment. Wonderful.
The clip I posted above "Godzilla vs destroyah" features the "nuclear theme". As obviose by the dialogue of the clip.
The difference is (and this is a huge difference compared to Gareth Edwards paint dry simulator)
Ironically as well, regardless of the campyness and men in rubber suits (which is still better than CGI) it has emotional gravitas. Something, for all the attempts as "realism" and "seriousness" the new Godzilla is completely and utterly devoid off. Load of old shite.

Do you really understand what the word "random" means or do you just enjoy saying it? And did I just hear you say the new Godzilla is utterly devoid of seriousness (nevermind realism since nuclear monsters the size of buildings are already outside the realm of reality)? What slapstick and shenanigans were in this movie that I apparently missed? But hey, if the whole monster slugfest is what attracts you, then fine. Stick with the older Godzilla films or Pacific Rim. Or did that come off as too "random" for you as well?

So aside from random, a lack of comprehension?
My freind, you read wrong. I wont hold it against you but I suspect you will hold it against me, with more random, random, randomness.
"hey, the first movie" "hey, the new movie"
"hey, the new movie is not campy, even though that's the opposite of what you said"
And so on....

Pardon my lapse in comprehension. Let me go over what you said again:
"Ironically as well, regardless of the campyness and men in rubber suits (which is still better than CGI), it has emotional gravitas. Something, for all the attempts at "realism" and "seriousness", the new Godzilla is completely and utterly devoid of. Load of old shite."
Okay, Now that this statement sounds less drunk, I can now comprehend that you meant that the reboot was completely without emotional weight. I disagree with that. Maybe it didn't have as much as certain older installments in the franchise, but there was enough there to connect with. Though I suppose it's a matter of opinion.

Its more than just buying CD cases. Licensing, localisation, voice talent advertising etc, all costs money.
