Does that have something to do with Steamworks integrated games or something? I'm legitly confused.

Steam stopped cross platform play? I'd be kind of surprised by that given you know, they have games that are cross platform with consoles.

GOG is my primary platform for PC gaming. :)

I think I will pick up some Star Wars games actually.

These days, if I have the option of buying a game off Steam or GOG, I always look to GOG first. Great company.

Going to enjoy them while they last. Die a hero or become a villain and all that.

Gog proves that once again.

That they are the one true service for the players ;)

Those are some nice Star Wars sales. I should pick up the Jedi Knight series.

One given a choice, I always choose GOG over Steam.

I dont think they cross play with the windows store. i remember there was a big deal about the last COD having separate player bases for steam/windows 10. idk if that was a MS thing or a steam thing though.

Everyone claims they buy from GOG first but I suspect this doesn't really happen.

GOG only offer DRM-Free games , there ain't many publishers who support this scheme but the number is growing thanks to indie developers

GoG is my first stop for low-cost DRM-free replacements of my older disc-based games. The best DRM is no DRM.

@so_hai:

Speak for yourself. I removed a whole bunch of games from my Steam Wishlist like Divinity: Original Sin, Kerbal Space Program and Hellblade once I realised there were GOG versions. There are even games, usually indies, which I am currently holding out on buying solely just to see if they'll release on GOG.

Seems nothing sort of sugarcoating a problem they have had by running their own service. It's not like the service they're competing with had me get rid of Xfire, Gamespy and Hamachi/Garena when it showed up, all while providing the benefit of registration for games purchased from 3rd party providers like the Humble Store, GMG or physical retailers.

GOG shows their true colours the moment you go through their refund procedures. If I have no use for a game that doesnt work, I would gladly delete it from my hard drive and go play something else. No need to treat me like a child and have me to go back and forth with support over a week due to timezone differences to try and troubleshoot a problem.

GOG is still the first place I will go to for old games. But the last place I'll go to for anything else. Particularly when there are better options, with more content, higher developer cuts, mileage credit and storewide discounts to games offered elsewhere.
