Gore Wars: Prototype vs. God of War III

Based on what you've seen so far, which of these visceral titles do you think will be the goriest? Prototype or God of War 3

God of war 3 will be more gorey, but that's not really a good thing imo. Prototype's gore is hilarious, but GoW 3 actually makes me sick when he rips that guys head off. It's just gross, it isn't cool or necessary.

GoW3 helios head ripping was pushing it too far if you ask me but lol whatever lol

prototype's gore is like: DUDE U JUST PILEDRIVED A PERSON INTO A TANK... AWESOME!!!
whereas GOW's is more like: DUDE!!!! thats f'ing gross

Yeah after seeing the head ripping in somebodies sig from GoW 3...I don't know if I can play that game. Prototype dosen't give off any sense of being in the characters and the graphics and the animations remind me that it's just a game and all the dismemberment dosen't matter.

Somehow GOW3 gives of the sensation that...there was real pain.

Both are pretty awful, except Prototype wins because I get to squash innocent civilians heads into their necks.

It seems whenever i'm eating at my pc I see someone with a GOw3 sig :( SAGE_OF_FIRE

GOW 3's gore is hardcore, Prototype seems meh to me.

GoW 3 is definately more gory. But it suits the game well since it is loosely based on greek mythology. Most of the ancient greek myths include tons of decapitations and dismemberment.

In fact, it would be wrong for God of war if it wasn't gory.

GoW and GoW II were some of the most absurd and gory games I have ever played, and GoW III seems to take it to another level with the next-gen technology... Definetly GoW III!

The GOW3 head rip is definitely unsettling when you watch it, they probably should have had the the camera zoom in on Helios' face (So you dont see his neck stretching and coming off) and you see the fear in his eyes and then his eyes becoming dead. Yeah its still pretty violent (This is GOW) but i think it would be better than it is right now.

Honestly, Ripping off that dudes head was not as disgusting as you guys hyped it to be :(.

I did see the centaur inards though and that was pretty cool. It's the details that make a gory game great :D

Gow takes it though. Looks awesome! Out of curiosity though, why is suddenly everyone so against over the top violence? Manhunt 1 plastic bags, Gears of war chainsaws, fallout 3, state of emergency genocide. I can go on haha. Just another thing to make sw go round I guess

as for the topic I think gow3 has a very graphical gore while prototype is more towards the cool and how can you not be disturbed while watching helios get his head ripped lol. gow3 is more brutal

Well, let's see, in GoW III demos I've seen thus far, Kratos has pulled a guy's head off with his bare hands, pulled a cyclops' eye out of its socket and gutted a Centaur.

Honestly, I don't think Prototype can compete with that...
