Got $400...should I buy an Xbox Elite?

the only game that seems good in my honest opinion is gears, but why buy a $400 system just for 1 game?

I've playe many a xbox 360 games over my friends house but none really caught my attention, and I'm a hardcore gamer....so hardcore that its hard for someone like me to just like 1 game on a system

Get a Core and get Gears of War 2. Beat Gears in 24hrs, play online for 96hrs and return to whatever store you bought it from before the 7-day whatever-condition warranty expires. :D

If you get addicted to Gears online(Which, you most likely will) Repeat the above with a different store.

Buy an xbox 360 arcade for $200 and get a harddrive for $20Couth_

but i could buy a wii for $250 and have more fun games to play because hey thats nintendo for ya, always bringing the heat when it comes to fun factor...

or i could buy a blu ray player for that much and whatch a boat load of movies

You can get a $200 arcade and get a free 256MB memory card or get a 20 hdd for $20 bucks also I believe they have a deal if you have an Arcade you can get the 20 hdd and 3 months of XBL Gold for like $30 bucks or something.

The 360 is a nice console, but let's be honest, who wants to wait a week for a new one to be shipped back after the one you bought just RROD? Some like to belittle the problem as much as possible by saying a week isn't too much or by saying that it will take at most one week to get a back when; in fact, it could take much longer. Waiting a week isn't fun. What is more, buying a machine that might die on you for $400 bucks isn't fun either.

I say buy a PS3. Unless, you really like the exclusives the Xbox 360 has to offer, buy a PS3. It has free online, great exclusives, tons of multiplats, and it has blu-ray. Most importantly, it's unlikely to break on you.

$300 Pro is a Arcade with a 60gb hard drive. Think of it as:

360 Pro Bundle = $200 Arcade + $100 60gb HDD... total price $300

Amazon.com "I'm not afraid of the internet" Bundle = $200 Arcade + $100 120gb HDD... total price $300

"I only play games and DLC" Bundle = $200 Arcade + $30 20gb HDD... total price $230

Theres no reason to buy a Pro unless you're afraid of the internet or you want to show off to your friends and brag about how much money you flushed down the toilet.

well if you have $400 the ps3 has the better value...why get an xbox 360 elite that costs 400$ and end up paying more for online and only one game that you like? Ofcourse you can also build a decent pc with that kind of money...so as an unbiased opinion i say if your going to spend all of your $400 then buy the ps3, but if you want to save some money from it buy a cheaper xbox 360 version.
