Got my PS5 a day early when I thought I wouldn't get it at all thanks to the Destruction Allstars delay.

So far it's been cool, quiet, and snappy! Ask me anything you want to know!

It fits behind my TV where I had my Pro. It's pretty big but it's not as big as I expected.

@Zero_epyon: The real question is why are you on the forum instead of gaming. I would think, you would be pre-occupied with Astrobot.

It's taking some getting used to. I like the triggers better than the haptics for now but we'll see when other games implement it.

I haven't tried a game with headphones yet. I'll let you know when I do.

These consoles are so amazing people buying them and on the same day are on forums instead of playing them.

Honestly in terms of games I have never been less excited for a new generation, they haven't even shown us a trailer for something that gets us excited, I mean a remake is the most exciting game on it FFS and Xbox has nothing.

This new generation needed a GTA6 or Elder Scrolls 6 gameplay trailer to get us excited.

Even my 7.1.2 soundbar replicates that pretty well, and it's a soundbar. I know it's more for headphones, but if that's the audio I could potentially get, then that's dope.

Fedex decided they would deliver it today instead of tomorrow. Got lucky I guess.

Like I said above I have kids. The real gaming begins later tonight. Already played MM and Astro. Both are pretty cool. Downloading some PS4 games like Warzone and GOW to see how that goes. Picking up Demon's Souls tomorrow too.

Well keep in mind that video is their proprietary implementation. Sony will have their own implementation, which could vary greatly or be similar. Only people that have used PS5 will be able to tell us, because for some reason, PS5's 3D audio isn't captured on video.

So we still need a confirmation on how good PS5's 3D audio is.

I understand, I have a wife and daughter and my gaming is predominantly from 8-10 on weekdays while my wife watches her shows and my daughter is at sleep.

I hope I get mine on the 19th. that said though I DO feel far this generation more than any other generation feels just meh with nothing to look forward to, its why its a little depressing that for a new console a remake and backwards compatibility are 50% of the conversations surrounding it.

If its worse than this generation then we might be waiting till 2023 before these consoles are even worth getting from a gaming point of view.

God of War looks so much cleaner for some reason. Days Gone is next on my list but it'll be the first time I play it.

Haven't spent too much time with it but it's soooo much quieter than the pro and just as quiet if not quieter than my One S. I'm super excited for that alone. Downloads are indeed much faster. I downloaded GOW, Days Gone, and Warzone in no time. GOW and MM look amazing! It's a solid system and people who have played on a PS4 before will feel at home with the new UI even if it has new bells and whistles.

I just charged one of the controllers to full so I'll let you know tomorrow.

Sounds like we have a winner when it comes to next-gen consoles. Glad to hear you are loving it. Even my daughter now wants PS5 as she never owns a single Sony console in her lifetime.

@ni6htmare01: there was a small ~350GB update and then a firmware update. The downloads are much faster now. The single thing that took the longest was installing Miles Morales from the disc.
