GOTY 2011: The Witcher 2 (PC) vs. The Last Guardian (PS3)

These two games I think are going to be two of the most epic competitors next year for GOTY (and possibly Infamous 2 if SuckerPunch makes the mission system significanty better). That said, which game do think has a stronger chance of winning?

Infamous 2 LOL, but Last Guardian should be amazing.

prolly Last Guardian, since we already have a concrete idea of what Witcher 2 is going to be like.

but hey, Fumito Ueda games are all about the experience, (so are Witcher games) but Witcher is more of like a traditional video game than Team Ico games (if you get what i mean).

it's like Witcher games are like Star Wars movies. tried and true, it works, very epic moments and complex storytelling, etc.

while Team Ico games are like those cult indie movies, if that makes sense. something like no other movies. something that you can identify.

Rage, diablo 3 (if it comes out), or the old republic will get GOTY next year.

Witcher 2, Diablo 3, Zelda, The Last Guardian, Deus Ex 3, Project Dark, Dead State, Rage, Crysis 2, Portal 2, The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, and many more. I think 2011 is the year 2010 was supposed to be.

Portal 2 or The Last Guardian IMO.

Witcher 2, Deus Ex Human Revolution etc... Should be really good too though. :)

Probably a toss up between.... hmm... last guardian and guild wars 2. Diablo 3 is already out of the question simply because Guild wars 2 already dumps all over it and WoW. I mean, if you don't believe me just look at the trailers of guild wars 2. So epic. Not to mention it has beaten both of those games for best online game at BOTH the events it has appeared in (gamescom and pax).

Im sure it will be good, but it wont be GoTY or anything close. The first two ICO games only got AA on here, so im not sure why anyone thinks this will do much better.

As much as I hate Star Wars, KotoR looks to be a fantastic game and I see it being the number 1 goty contender. But Im without a doubt rooting for The Last Gaurdian or Legend of Zelda :SS

None of those even have a chance. The Witcher 2 is a project brought back from the dead. If The Last Guardian was GOTY material, the developers wouldnt be afraid to show us something. I think Deus Ex 3 and Metal Gear Solid Rising have a good chance.

I don't see The Witcher 2 winning it. Hell I think even Shogun 2 would have a better chance, and there's no way a Total War game will ever win GOTY.mo0ksi

As far as we know, Diablo 3 is scheduled for 2011.
