GOW or is it GeoW

Does GOW stand for gears of war or God of War

A quick youtube, google, yahoo, gamespot search shows that GOW means gears of war

however ppl keep saying that its a acronym for god of war and GeoW is the proper one

Despuite this not mattering at all to the way i live my life, it is something that will bug the OCD out of me

I think for Gears it should be: Epic: Gears of War starring Marq PHeonix (however you spell it) and Cole Train battling the Locusts.

And for God of War it could be: God of War featuring Kratos the half naked guy with red paint on his body and flaaaaming swords strapped to his hands.

That would be much easier and clear everything up.
