GOW Showdown: Gears vs Gods

It's Marcus Fenix, and Kratos is indeed badass, more than Marcus, cuz it seems Marcus besides being a traitor prisoner cares for his teammates, or I dunno maybe there is a hidden reason why he helped the chief to erradicate (kinda, the queen seems to be alive) the locust, well we'll have to wait for GeOW2 :cry:. 

I played both games and god of war just blows geow out of the roof, because its just alot funner playing as a god and just going toe to toe with ancient greek mythology gods. God of War 2 was just awesome from begining to end and cant wait for the next on psp and ps3.

My vote goes to Gears.  I'm just not into the action game genre.

Besides, co-op and multiplayer sold it for me. 

God of War.

Character.  Music.  Story.  Gameplay.  It's all in that package.

Gears is great but it's lacking in a few aspects. 

Hmmm, boring, repetitive button masher compared to cover-fire-cover-fire-cover-etc...

Eh, Gears just for the chainsaw bayonet.

What's the point here? To decide who as the Acronym? That's already been decided, God of War = GoW and Gears or GeoW = Gears of War.

In terms of the actual games, you can't compare them, Gears has the great multiplayer but God of War 's single player campaign(I and II) is easily among the pinnacle of the action genre.

Only thing we can really compare them on is story, and we all know how horrible Gears of War's story is :PSimpJee

i don't think gears story i horrible. its just that god of war has a Greek god thing going to is really fun. Gears has a story thats been told too many times.

Why? Mulitplayer. I guarantee you I spent more time with Gears than God of War because of online.

god of war for 2 reasons.

I like God of War better because of the single player and the upgrades and the badass minigame executions. Geow is too repetitive in the single player department (not to mention bad dialogue that makes me want to shoot myself) and the multiplayer is cool but I have gotten bored with it.

I really hate arcady style hack and slash... it might have a great story but the game sucked bad IMO (IMO fanboys, don'tget me wrong and for noobs = In My Opinion, cuz I know everybody loves GOW).-KinGz-

i can see why, but i wouldn't classify it as an arcade style, and the little mingames are really staisfying. i've played Gears, I've chainsawed some players on XBL, but the minigames beat anything in gears, and gears is awsome
