GoW? Which game pops into your head first?

When you see the letters GoW, which game do you think of first? The playstation exclusive God of War, or the xbox exclusive Gears of War? I always think of Gears.

I feel dumb now being the only one out of 7 votes who thinks of Gears of War. Oh well, it happens :)

Yeah, I was going to mention that whole thing about GoW and GeoW, but I was like, whatever. People on 360 threads always say GoW when talking about Gears, and people on PS3 threads say GoW when talking about God of War, so I thought I'd put it on system wars thread and see what happens lol.

God of War because people usually call Gears of War, Gears or Geow.

You do know that browsers sell search queries right? chances are that he closer it gets to GoW3s release it might change.

I find it interesting that thiswould be MSNs results.

They are currently trying to make the results differ from person to person. I happen to know first hand ;)

God of War since the series came out first. Also the fact that Gears of War is known as GeoW anyways.

God of War...I usually just call Gears of War "Gears", never thought of it as GoW

It's just simpler that way because I don't know what you would use for God of War.... GooW or GdoW... maybe just God? :P

Depends.. I'd say it doesn't matter what you use in the 360 board for gears because it's not allowed to discuss games on other platforms over there.

In this board however, GoW should be God of War. I don't understand why people don't just type Gears instead of GeoW though.

As a hardcore gamer from the 70's that plays all the greatest games, obviously GOW is going to mean God of War, since that came out way before Gears. Both are great games, but GeoW, or Gears is Gears.

The Honor goes to the game that got here first....unless Sony retired GOW (not going to happen), and EPIC continued Gears, then i would give it to Gears.

However, your question asks, what do I think of first?

God of War obviously, it was here almost 2 years before Gears, so I had practically 2 years to get to know the game, and it's acronym.
