Not really surprised. It's a good game that a lot of reviewers really loved.

I liked it a lot more after I added some mods, but that's how it is with me and any Bethesda game. :P

anyway I gotta agree about fallout 3 being GOTY in general.

It's the only game form 2008 I still find myself playing regularly. Although that might be due to the DLC.

Just goes to show why popularity =/= quality. FO3 best voice acting? It was almost as bad as oblivion FFS.

I can't believe Fallout 3 Broken Steel beat Lost and Damned for downloadable content of the year?!

People only give a damn about GOTY when it's actually done at the end of the year. I don't care about this "G-Phoria" crap.

I've said it b4 and i'll say it again. Fallout3 (pre dlc, haven't played dlc bc have ps3 copy) was a dissapointment compared to Oblivion. Oblivion just had tons more stuff to do with more factions more side quests and more combat variety (vats is awesome though but becomes a crutch). Fallout3 wasn't all that long lasting (beat it in 40 hrs and felt like i saw all i had to see, while in oblivion played over 100hrs felt like i was barely scratching the surface). I played Motorstorm PR for more hrs and don't get me started on the original ending to Fallout3. Fallout3 is a great game but not goty.
