its split in to 3 classes which you progress through earning more money to by new cars. you need 2000000 to unlock the F1 ferarri which will take a long long time.

the online is pretty cool, but their is noway to play against your friends online or chat to them.

The PSN d/l version you can only play when you are logged into the PSN like Warhawk. NO OFFLINE PLAY. There is a C, B, and A class. Each has a series of races just like the old GT's. There's less events due to the low number of tracks, but the car requirements breaks it up. There's arcade mode where you just pick a track and car. No license trials in the Japan version. No splitscreen (Japan version) either. I haven't been able to get an update to finish download since like Christmas so I don't know if they added any of the US stuff to it via patches or what.mbrockway

I haven't beaten A class, so that would explain me not knowing about S. And I have not been able to get it to download updates. It times out and fails. All my other games are up to date except for GT5P. I tried deleting the game data and reinstalling, but still no joy. That would explain me not knowing about splitscreen.

i had the same problem with the update, it does continue the download from where it download fail... even though it lookslike it starts again it isnt. took me about 4 attempts

I thought you were one of the lemmings who keep calling GT5P a demo and crap.

Oh come on? GT5P is a demo. It's a rather large demo, but it is nowhere near a full game.

Oh, before you start abusing me I do have it and I love it. I can't wait for the full game!

It's a demo of GT5. That doesn't mean it isn't any good! It is well worth the budget price of £20 :)

No problem kaos. Figured it was probably a misunderstanding. I've got the US version preordered as well, and of course I'm buying GT5 proper, so thats gonna be like $150 total (like $50 off Play Asia cause I was in San Diego at the time, $40 for the US, plus $60 for GT5) I'm gonna spend on Gran Turismo 5. And I will do so happlily. I've got 31 PS3 games now, only one I have a tinge of regret buying is Lego Star Wars (was only $30, but still.)

Funnily enough, Prologue is finally updating. I've been trying to get this thing to update all last week. I've got the tiniest sliver of white on the progress bar, no triangle exclamation point yet. If it finishes, I may just cancel my US preorder.
