That's no big deal, since Prologue should have online play and that usually extends the life of a game. This news has just made my day :)

If i were them, I would make you little rats pay for our hard work, but this is truely generous. I really want to show them how much we all appretiate their work, but I don't have a PS3, so i have to buy one of my own. :(

I'm not saying the free demo is bad, it's good. Not even the game is bad. I just highly doubt Polyphony will release this game anywhere near 6 months after the scheduled release date, being that no other GT ever has. It always insures a great game, just takes a **** long time to come out.

I just wonder why they're all of a sudden giving you something that was going to cost money. "just to be nice" clearly isn't an option, it doesn't work that way. So, I figure it's either to gather even more interest for the game (which seems unnecessary, who doesn't know Gran Turismo?), or they're softening ps3 owners up in anticipation for a major delay or disappointment of some sort.

I don't know, it was just a guess really. I do think it will be delayed though, but this might not have anything to do with that.

Maybe MS will respond by offering a free track pack for FORZA2...lmao...no I guess not

FREE thanks everybody can afford that this demo just sealed the deal I will stop playing forza 2 as soon as this drops, I was going to buy the demo but this just blows me away. PSN is free now sony is giving away games for free that $600 I spent is looking better all the time. @#$% what you heard this is the difference between nintendo ms and sony = Sony supports their consoles just like companies support pc gamers with free content.

I like live it's a great service but they nickle and dime me for everything I hope they take a page out of sony's book and stop charging for every little thing. This is why I had no problem shelling out the money for a ps3 cause I know sony would support their new console just like they did with the ps and ps2. Ms and nintendo take notes on how to treat your core gamers who stuck with you from sony.

One of the devs has commented that it will make release in Japan before July 2008.

So maybe September for US/Europe?

Yes, with live you are very unlikely to get a free demo of this size. But really, there are quite a few other things 360 does much better for gamers than ps3. If anything, I'd say they're trying to make ammends for having done so poorly so far. Either that, or something is going horribly wrong with GT5 in the near future, and they're trying to soften that blow.

Actually I don't think it's free.

Apparently Kaz said they're discussing the price - that and GT4 Prologue and GT3 concept weren't free. It'll probably end up for sale
