Gran Turismo 5 Releasing September 25th UK (Rumor)

PSBeyond has just been informed from an extremely reliable source that the highly anticipated racer for PlayStation 3, Gran Turismo 5, is being released this month...that's right, September 25th in actual fact in the UK. Word comes from a Sony official direct, and the news will certainly please many fans who have waited an exceptionally long time to see Polyphony Digitals next installment on store shelves.

The date actually coincides with that of the Tokyo Games Show 2009, so expect a ground breaing announcement from Sony and Polyphony then.

With plenty of weeks left then in the run up to christmas, Sony must be prizing this title to help push their recently launched 120GB PS3 Slim, which hit retail globally on September 1st, to maximise sales. Expect a brand new bundle and new accessories to launch with this title very very soon.

I think they forgot to add in release date before the releasing part. Gran Turismo 5 release date releasing Septemebr 25th. That's the only thing I could come up with.

Is this release date more reliable than any of the other 50 release dates that you've posted? Cause I keep going to the store everytime and always leave empty handed. Makes me sad.

It wouldn't make much sense. Uncharted 2 is releasing in the second week of October. It would be a bad idea to release two of your biggest exclusive games in the same 3-week window.Jared2720

I'll cross my fingers. But yeah, I think it would be a little late to have announce it to be that early. Plus, they said GT5 will come out shortly after GT PSP and that doesn't come out this month
