Gran Turismo 5 to have OVER 9,000 cars (56k)

ITS OVER 9000!

Sony has announced the full GT 5's car list. It consists of 10000 cars. At launch it will only have 340 cars while the others will be developed in the future. Polyphony Digital will also develop cars for individual clients.

So that means 340 cars on the disc and the rest will be DLC.

Individual clients? that sounds interesting... does that mean we can be able to request a car or something for a price, or maybe that means something else. Anyway sounds good, i didnt get Prologue so i could wait on 5, all i know is the DLC better be free which I think it is since they specifically say the game will have 10,000.shadyd1717

I love GT5's graphics, car models look so realistic DAY ONE PURCHASE for me :D.

There WILL be DLC though.

No. There will not be that many cars. I remmember a fake rumor just like this one that was going around last year.

The developers can't possibly model that many cars (both customization and damage modeling) in time for next year.

This is fake.

Its times like this that i cringe at the thought of trophies or achievements in these games.

Yeah i really don't think any developer would bother creating 10,000 cars- even if they are just variables of the same car. Do you realise how ridiculous you sound (not you renegade)? Even 1,000 cars would be too much for me and most people.

Do you see that Audi R8!? Looks as if I can sit right next to it -- amazing! If it's any reason to buy this game, it's the sheer amount of content (hey, 10000 cars?) and incredible graphics.

If I was a racing sim-guy, this game would be worth a PS3 alone.

I was knocking the developers, not the disc format :? It just all seems very rock bandy, which annoys me.
