I ment series. I can't edit or change thread name. Right question is, which franchise is better. I'm not asking is GT6 or Forza 5 better. Gamespot still have not fixed this broken bug that after you make põll, you can't edit post. So stupid. Why mods don't fix this??????
@FreedomFreeLife: mods can't fix website bugs. And just by playing Forza 6 only and at least 3 GTs...I have to say Forza is divine. I'm actually tempted to buy a wheel for the one instead of the ps4 as I had in mind (PSVR racing one day..)

That's been answered mightily last gen. This gen MS is just twisting the knife deeper and deeper, I almost want to call them and say enough already it's just cruelness to animals at this point. :P
Both are great games. I was always a GT fan from the first one, and it's a franchise that I want to see doing well. That said, Forza has done well bringing up the slack of GT. GT still has things that are fun, such as oil changes for example...car washes. It's the little things. But overall, Forza is a more polished package and has much better simulation physics.

Yeah man, I was an early adopter of GT on Ps1 and loved it, same with GT2 but really since then it's been all Forza, well, that and PGR but now Horizon covers the PGR type racing for me as well.
I don't think people who like racing simulators buy both systems and both games in order to play them start to finish and give an unbiased opinion. PlayStation is my preferred brand, so the only proper racing sim available to me is Gran Turismo and I like Gran Turismo a whole lot. Yet I can't comment on the quality of Forza, since I don't play it. Simple as that.
I like both ,will get the next Forza on PC and. Gt when it comes on ps4 I'll get it also. Gt left the door open to competitors last gen by being slow to release (teh cell) and not having damage and customizable paint jobs
Forza has ran lapse around GT a thousand times and beyond already. Forza is the king of racers, set the standard and is the standard, the premiere of its genre. It has no competition so it expanded its play style and broke into a separate genre of racing. Now Forza and Horizon are the top of their game and leads, and basically competing with each other since there is none to compete with. Only the name "GranTurismo" is barely staying relevant in the genre but that's because of nostalgia and nothing more. The past decade shows how GT has not done anything relevant. Yet only the last few of their fans still believe one day GT will comeback and somehow topple the greatness Forza has proven time after time overnight. #GreatmessAwaits
GT6 I think was the best of them last gen, but honestly it's sad how long it takes Polyphony to turn out a game where Turn 10 gets one out every other year (and Forza itself is an annual franchise). Forza will have had 4 installments (Forza 5 and 6, and Horizon 2 and 3) before Polyphony gets out GT Sport. It's not like the quality justifies that long of a wait either. The car models might receive more "love and care" but there are some other things in the game that don't. So what the heck takes so long? Who knows.
Forza 3 and 4 were better than GT 5 and 6 (though 6 was a massive improvement over 5, at least by the time I bought it)
Then they released Forza Horizon.
It's a good thing too, because apart from Forza console racing games seem pretty dissappointing - at least from a frame-rate perspective.
Gran Turismo STILL has superior driving physics. It is better simply because of that. The cars are also shift weight to the wheels correctly when cornering. There is so many little things that make it realistic.
I still like Forza though and play them all. It's just Forza has always been more arcadey. Forza cars drive like tanks and the slightest bump or crash makes the car do an instant 180. They have no idea how cars react in real life and it is a pet peeve of mine with the series.
@gago-gago: Gran Turismo is still especially popular in lesser countries which act like the Church of The Only Worthy Console Ever.
GT is way better at simulation. Forza feels more like arcade racing which is not bad if you're looking for that.
Forza Motorsport 1-4 maybe, Forza Motorsport 5 and 6 have a huge improvement in physics.
It's going to be on next year. GT 7 Vs Forza Motorsport 7.
FM 7 might look really good since it could be designed with Scorpio and the PC in mind.

It's so funny to listen to the kids say that one is better at simulation than the other when they have never driven the cars in the game, have never raced, and probably have very few miles under their belt in their Chevrolet Cruze driving to school.
If we go with a real comparison, go with InsideSimRacing.tv reviews.

And here is the latest physics comparison and simulation from InsideSimRacing TV, and Forza just destroys GT in physics and simulation:

Seriously, there is no comparison. When it comes to sims:
iRacing/Race Pro/Assetto Corsa> ProjectCARS > Forza Motorsport > GT
GT is way behind these days, so hopefully they have started from scratch with GT Sport next year.
