It looks like what a proper racing game is supposed to be. No cringy plane going over your head from HZ5 is also a plus.

Most impressive is the sound design. Forza is lame as hell in that regard.

Cockpit animations are ridiculous. Overexaggerated steering and shifting, like Nick Cage is driving. Literally lol'd at the shifting

Liking what I see so far. Personally I would rather play a closed circuit racing game like this over something open world.

Is that the PS4 version?

Hopefully I get a PS5 before this releases, looking fantastic so far!

This guy has been hating on racing games ever since Forza Horizon 5 started to get hyped. Now that Sony is getting a niche racing game, it's suddenly the greatest thing ever. 🙄

The GT series hasn't been good since GT4 back in 2004. That's nearly 20 years of 'real racers' not having anything to play judging by your logic.

It is the greatest thing ever. Is it my fault that you're incapable of seeing it? FH5 came out, and after a few days, nobody cares. Its just a casual game to log in into and drive through trees like a cheap arcade game. GT is the real deal. You won't see a Ferrari driving through trees and do 200 feet jumps.

Certainly looks good but I don’t have the time or inclination to play more racing games. Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon has my driving needs covered for now.

What a satisfying video to watch - I like that the player is actually a good driver.

That being said, it looks great. We aren't using this to "OMG Dunk" on Forza though are we? The games are practically identical in graphics lmao. They are racing games...

The sound design has come a long way though. The sound of the cars you hear from your driver's seat are so nice

It looks alright, but a bit underwhelming to be honest. There are too many good racing games for Gran Turismo to stand out anymore. It is just part of the pack now. Nothing special about it.

What's important is the FH5 plane to gtfo and that cringy dude contantly talking should shut the hell up. Really poorly made game tbh.

What a boring game, nearly put me to sleep. Where are the jumps, the drag races, the jungle expeditions, monster trucks, the warthog?? This is nothing special, forza took the crown a long time back, and I'm not talking about forza horizon, but forza motorsport.

Do you see lemmings posting videos hyping up forza motorsport? It's also releasing this year, but there hasn't been a single post by it by lems. The reason is, it's already expected to be exceptional. Plus it's a simulator catering to a niche audience.

Looks great! I think I need to buy a racing wheel now.

Any word on VR support for this? With PSVR2 in the works it should surely be a no brainer.

Looks good anyway. If i do get a Ps5 it will be one of the first things on the list to get.

Wondering what Sony will do with the Dualsense with this. Should be cool to feel the haptics and tension in the triggers for the brakes.

@hardwenzen:Wow you sound angry and jealous of FH5 for some reason. Judging a game (FH5) without having even played it. Then again somebody is angry that they are too broke to get a more than just a one system (in this case, a PS5). Hardcore broke fanboys are funny and sad lol.

Also FH5 is the arcade Forza line, while Forza 8 (whenever that comes out) is the more sim like, not really the same games. But guess someone who can't play Xbox or PC would not know about that.

@theam0g: Yeah lol this guy has probably not even played FH5 since he only has one system, and doesn't like racing games, but as soon as a PS exclusive game shows up he sings praises. Kind of sad and pathetic if you ask me. Always wondered why anyone would be a fanboy of any specific system to that high of a degree. I am guessing people trying to justify their purchases to themselves..

Anyway back on topic, game looks pretty excellent (both from a gameplay and graphics perspective) If my racing wheel was compatible with a Playstation, I would get it, but it's not so probably won't be getting it for now. I will say though the PC has the better racing sims, more realistic and better physics (Iracing, asseto corsa, and to a lesser extent, project cars 2, to name a few). But Forza and GT do come close enough (at least for people like myself who are more casual sim players and have non DD wheels).

@tjandmia: You would think but not really actually. At least if you have an ok or better racing wheel/setup such as the Logitech G920/Thrustmaster TMX/T150 and better. Granted these three are starter wheels but good enough imo, especially given that the truly great wheel (direct drive) can cost you around $1000 or more if I recall correctly. But even with those fairly budget wheels ($200 ish), you can still get a pretty nice experience. Quite a lot of fun playing racing games with those (more specifically more "proper" ones, rather than "arcady" ones). I usually have a blast playing Project Cars 2 in VR with a racing wheel, it is an awesome experience. But yeah I can also understand how one could find racing games boring.

It’s so crazy to know if GT was never created, there wouldn’t be a Forza series. Lems should appreciate what the GT franchise has done for racing games .

Looks great. If I get my hands on a PS5 I wold buy this for sure. If not I’ll just wait for Forza Motorsport which should come this year.

Outside resolution I think since the 360/PS3 racing games look great, and it's kind of irrelevant how it looks. It all comes down to how it feels while playing. What I would love was if GT became less simcade and more hardcore like iRacing.

@HalcyonScarlet: I hope they enjoy it too. With the declining meta scores for GT I don't imagine it to be anything mind blowing. It'll be interesting to see the new FH as it'll be a x/s only title rather than a cross gen with GT.

The benefit of the new Forza Motorsport being a Series X/S game, is that it'll be designed around the new CPU.

GT7 will be designed around the PS4 CPU. Which would normally be fine for games like God of War, but this is a simulator.

Would be awesome if just half the effort went into rebooting Motorstorm.

@lamprey263: The first two were really good, but became frustrating later on (and not a good frustrating). I'd love to see the series come back but they'd need to make some changes to the formula.
