The demo I played at E3 was extremely mediocre but you could tell it was a really limited demo that was barebones. The backgrounds in it looked like a PS2 game. Saying this as a racing game fan it looked bad. Had no damage, no weather, no day/night cycle. Needs a lot of work.
Lol at PD. I hope it's good but sadly these guys have been resting on their asses getting paid while Sony shuts down Evolution. I think Sony keeps these clowns around only because their Japanese roots.
@Kashiwaba: I never said they should be shut down like evolution, but they need to do real work instead of using a modified PS3 engine. I would rather them take their time and build a new engine made specifically for ps4 hardware, but Sony needs more money so they won't wait.

The environments look low poly, especially that building in the DF video, and like you said, the trees. It clashes with the cars which actually look decent. It's too inconsistent at the moment, and it doesn't help when people go around showing replay mode footage to lie about the game. I can't wait to see people putting up photo mode shots as in game shots..... oh wait, that already happened here.
Replay runs at 30 fps like drive club and that's why it looks great and seriously you're only noticing the trees because you're watching a video it's a sim racing and they are focusing on what matters performanc, amazing car model, physics and car handling for a fair comparison compare it to Forza 6 another sim racer on consoles and see how it handles the trees and spectators when it's actually showing less cars and not as good looking as GT or project cars on consoles.

Exactly, look at Team ICO as well. They haven't produce a single game in entire generation but still no lay offs but Sony has closed many of its western studios, even though all of Sony's big franchises are from western studios.
