Well , you didn't provide any source or what it is pertaining to. Give it some context - when did the game release ? Where was it released ? Does this include PSN downloads ? What were Rockstar's expectations ? How much did it cost to make and what were their marketing efforts with the port ? Etc , etc.
Im a psp owner and didnt buy this game.. why? cuz im not a fan of the GTA games.. not gonna buy it on any system :).. i only like buying RPG's for my psp
I liked the PSP alot intill they created the PSP3000 and PSPGO.. Both extreme wastes of money and have either made problems worse, or have not fixed the original problems of the system.. Seriously who are making their strategy decisions for their portables?

Seriously, last I heard it sold abysmally on the DS. As for PSP, well Piracy is pretty damn rampant on the system. I'm willing to be a large portion of the PSP community has the game but very few actually bought it. And TC, link? Not that I dont believe you, but it's always good to have a link :P
With the alarming piracy rate on handhelds these days, this does not surprise me. Tis a shame.

I agree, had a bit of a heart-to-heart talk with a good friend of mine who does nothing but pirate it. it annoys me so much the self-entitlement of gamers who only pirate. They'll throw up every excuse in the book to not part buy and support the product. that's all i gotta say about that.

The moment people were able to hack firmware 1.50 it was all over for Sony. You no longer needed any official firmware, you could just wait for the next unofficial firmware that allows you to play higher firmware games. Piracy is so hard to control because the moment they are able to crack 1 firmware version, its close to impossible to stop people. They may not be able to replicate newer firmwares if you make them well enough, but they can always patch games to run on the older custom firmwares.

Don't compare to a DS , Commercially , so 59 million is a FAilure ? A lot of great games is a failure? I know Ds wins in both Sales , And has more games, but psp is Technically Bette Than the Ds , also I chose psp , Because i don't like Jrpgs , and these kind of games , i love action games , Racing games , and 3d Platforming games , Psp offers me what i want , The ds Doesn't , also I never was a fan Of Mario.....

That's pretty hilarious considering how so many Sony fans were saying how this game didn't belong on the DS and would sell so much better on PSP.

DS is no where Kiddy Handheld , i've played it , But i didn't really like it . I know it isn't, but there are people that claim the DS isn't home to mature games, and that's why GTA:CW didn't sell. Then it turns out GTA:CW also doesn't sell on PSP which people like to claim is the "hardcore" handheld for "mature" gamers :lol:
