[QUOTE="garland51"]PSP: Bunch of piratesI seriously don't get it. We have a portable handheld (PSP) & a home gaming console (Wii) who each have 56 million owners, but yet, 3rd party games don't sell well on either one of them. Why?

And the 360 sells the most software how? It has a bunch of pirates too you know.
PSP just doesn't have that great of a library.
I feel bad for Rockstar. It was such a great game. No one bought it for the DS, so now there will never be another GTA for the DS.
Then they updated the graphics and put it on the PSP, where they figured they could get their money out of it, but I guess not...

Yeah, but I know that you can mod a PSP without buying anything. I'm pretty sure that with a 360, you need a chip, or some kind of addition equipment. Basically, I'm saying it's not as easy to do.

Well, the 360 does have more 10-15 year old kids who probably don't know how to pirate in general. That and I think it would be VERY hard to go on Xbox Live with a modded console. And even if the PSP has a subpar library, their userbase should be taking more of an initiative to buy and support this game given that it is high quality software.PSP: Bunch of pirates[QUOTE="rolfboy"][QUOTE="garland51"]

Wrong on 2 counts. The 360 pirating situation is no where near as bad as the PSP one. Also the Wii sells more software than the 360 and it also is perhaps the easiest of the sysytems to pirate. PSP is a dead platform in NA, that's really all there is to it.

Ok, 360 sells more software per console. Sorry I had to be so specific.
It still has pirates.

Its necessary. I mean, I cdould get into all this "attach rates are misleading" stuff but I won't. Yes, the PSP is basically dead everywhere but in Japan.
The platform is virtually dead to most american consumers here so this doesn't surprise me. Heck, this may not outsell the DS version if your 12k one week is true. DS version has sold what, 500k? only made them $20 million. I bet that budget was far over 20 million (end sarcasm)
I am actually shocked this game wouldn't sell on PSP. I was convinced that the ONLY reason it didn't sell on DS was because sheep truly weren't interested in a GTA game. I thought PSP sales would blow DS's outta the water. Why is this game flopping so hard in sales?
Yah, what is with this game? Higher rated, and plays better than the other GTA games on the PSP, but it's not getting recognized by PSP owners....treedoor
Perhaps gamers have spoken with their wallets about the idea of a top-down GTA game. Perhaps the series has locked itself into a 3D open world.
I've skipped this selection on both the DS and PSP... still considering picking up the iPhone port when it releases. The top-down format was a reason it has never made it into my "must buy" list so far, but the glowing reviews about the game itself keep it in my "get it eventually" pile.
[QUOTE="II-FBIsniper-II"]I guess no one wants a top down GTA.Toriko42Or it's on PSP which is just death for sales wrong the last 2 gta's on psp sold over 3 million each.... get your facts stragth... I own over 40 psp games and they're great... It's a know fact that system wars peeps hate the psp , why I don't know... there is a slew of ps1 and psp rpgs on the system that I love!! DS has a few good games but the rest is kids stuff. People didn't want a ds port of a game, even if it is good (I bought it but my copy doesn't show in npd why? Digital download to my mem stick on my psp -3000 or 2000. ) I can list at least 75 stellar psp games but the ds fanboys and Sony haters will say they all suck... which is just a load of crap!!
Says who... you? I buy psp games all the time... whats up with you people hating on the psp so much.. It has great games! It's my favorite handheld ever. Bunch of gameboy loving psp hating fools if you can't see how psp is freakin great. The platform is virtually dead to most american consumers here so this doesn't surprise me.
