Grand Theft Auto will always be a console game to me. The only way to get the best experience is on a gamepad.
Which you can on a computer.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]You can play them on any PC and get ten times the better experience.USBxDVD

Firstly, GTA started as a PC game. And secondly, having played 4 on PC it is perfectly adequate with a K+M, not including the Liberty City expansion.[QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]You can play them on any PC and get ten times the better experience.USBxDVD

I'm talking about mods man, loads of mods. The GTA games have the most numerous and most fun mods I've tried. Plus, why would you pay 40$ for a HD collection, when you can play it in HD on an ancient PC anyway.
With a pad, also.

kicker is you dont need mods to have fun in GTA :P stock that game is a beast who gives a damn bout car mods or graphics mods (which tbh most of them are in GTA SA and tbh a lot of the map mods are fairly buggy i had my fair share of experience with that game on PC) theres not all that much apart from skins, cars, gun skins, texture and CLEO mods.
yea.id jump on the bandwaggon for them.my childhood right there.never got the pleasure of completing 3-vice city

The infinite number of mods ranging from little things to full blown overhauls, including graphics, makes any HD collection irrelevant.

GTA SA controls excellently with a keboard/mouse, the aiming ain't bad at all, that's why i'm always scratching my head wen people tell me the controls are bad. How the hell can they be bad, it's beyond my comprehension.
I think it's harder to fly planes and helicopters with the mouse and keyboard than it is with a controller. Everything else in GTA controls much better with the mouse and keyboard, though.PurpleMan5000For SA I switched off between kb/m and gamepad for just such occasions. It was great to have that option.

GTA4 wasn't quite as bad because there is aiming within the lock-on system, but the ability to actually aim for headshots and tire shots in the other 3 games is a huge advantage that cannot be understated.
Honestly, I can just play my PC copies, but I would eat this up just for the trophies and I would get 100% of them all. :P
Other than that, you can always just play the PC versions with a gamepad.
I've never done a 100% run in any of the gta games, too easy to get sidetracked :PHonestly, I can just play my PC copies, but I would eat this up just for the trophies and I would get 100% of them all. :P

I only did IV, and that was for the trophies. :P
I'd get around to it eventually, but yeah I had the same problem. :P
thanks for the misleading title, thought you meant it was coming. Would anybody be interested?

I'd much rather have Grand Theft Auto III: Tenth Anniversary 3D Edition for the Nintendo 3DS.
I hate that its iPhone/Android only. Way to ruin the game Rockstar, and they know they'd make so much more money selling it for $39 at retail. Heck, I bet Chinatown Wars selling 1.2 million DS at $20-$30 made them so much more money than the couple of hundred thousand iOS downloads

Firstly, GTA started as a PC game. And secondly, having played 4 on PC it is perfectly adequate with a K+M, not including the Liberty City expansion. What a weak defense. The first two entries started on the PC, yeah. The third one - you know, the one that actually put the series on the map - started on a PS2. It completely understandable why most would associate Grand Theft Auto with a console.
I would definately buy them, and I would get platinum trophy in San Andreas. I played that game so many times I've done everythying, EVERYTHING!

I haven't played it yet but I might get it for the PC eventually, so I'd be interested in knowing if there are any issues with the controls.

Driving is better with a controller. Shooting is better with M/KB. That's about it.if it was possible to upscale GTA 1 and 2 to 720p yeah. then it might have a chance to exist. Would anybody be interested?

Yes! I want it! They should have released it already. Of all the games to get an HD re-release this gen, GTA should be a no brainer. It would sell millions. Why havent they released this yet?!?!carljohnson3456The only games that are in some way not already in HD in some way are 1,london,2,3,vc,ls,vcs. The reat are handhelds are can be in hd in some way or another or modded. the problem is 3 of the listed can't be upscaled to HD. Would you be fine with a GTA HD collection with only Vice City, Vice city stories, and liberty city stories? 3 games? On a Blu-ray disc or a high compacity Xbox dvd?

There's a mission in the LC expansion where you have to fly a helicopter and shoot these mini boats travelling across the water. Its a nightmare to control with a K+M and you have to do it. There's also a couple of annoying things like timing jumps out a plane and such.[QUOTE="Aquaunitpatrol"][QUOTE="carljohnson3456"]Yes! I want it! They should have released it already. Especially since Rockstar already shows that it doesn''t fell like making another GTA like Sand andreas. (With 3 cities in one game.) Also, why only 3 games? What about VCS and LCS? Those were PS2 games (While ported but still ps2 games.)
