with all the media attention GTA is getting, do you think Mario still as known as it was before to parents compared to what GTA has become in the recent few years?

That fact alone makes GTA the more popular series overall.

Mario, because alot of people that grew up in the NES era are becoming parents themselves while the PS2 gen is just now getting into highschool.

The question would be more understandable if you meant which one is more known among parents, since GTA gets so much bad press. :P

Mario. The other day my uncle asked me which GTA game to buy his 8 years old son. I told him what the game was about, and he bought Mario Tennis. Is that enough proof?
