Honestly, who cares? Even if they were in 3D, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference at 100mph anyway. It would just be a waste of computing power for something so minute and insignificant -- how else do you think it's possible to render over 12 cars in 1080p and at a smooth 60 frames-per-second?
