look here is a compare pic lol mine has x6 AA woot ures has only 4 AA wow that must be really bad.
(my eyes cannot actually tell the difference because they are not sensative enough but...)
Anyone think this is familiar? Anyone totally fed up of this? I know I am,
GRAPHICS != NEX GEN GRAPHICS != A GOOD GAME
The more observant among you may notice that at game spot they rate the games using 5 different things: Gameplay GRAPHICS Value Sound Tilt
So at the most GRAPHICS can account for 1/5th of a games greatness. Therefor if the 360 does not have AAx10 like a pc or the ps3 has lower textures than the 360 etc WHAT DOES IT MATTER.

Exactly, I would play with stick figures if it was complete VR. That's actually an interesting concept. When I think VR though, I think Flashback style graphics for some reason...Or Kane from Robocop II.

Of course, it couldn't quite be a game if you couldn't see it (unless you are blind and really good at Simon). Still, there are plenty of games that look great and play horribly. I would much rather have gaming perfect gameplay before perfecting graphics (graphics being the easy way out).

I agree, a 'COMPONENT' not 'ALL OF' a video game im just fed up of comparisons of 360/ps3/pc/wii screens because it doesent matter and neither side is gonna budge. buy the console you want not cus some troll is positing screenshots with better textures.
far as i know tetris was awsome, it didnt have AA or HD.

my point is alot of posters only seem to think that graphics is important, thats why there are loads of posts with image comparisons. These posts do not take into account anything else about the game. They annoy me so i made a thread about it.
well all i know is ive played call of duty 3 on a 360...and bought call of duty 3 for the wii... The 360 version is a lot better....just because the graphics are better, its clearer because of the HD,better physics, animations.... the Wii version has graphics that are so bad sometimes i dont know what im lookin at...it looks all mushed up with green-brown-ness...its simply not good.. Graphics dont make a game...but they can make a game bad....

what i do not like are the people who says graohics do not matter at all. graphics are the least important but they need to be good, not great but at least good. wiis graphics are good.

I hear you. I see games as an artform. A good artist wouldn't half-ass their art, whether it be in the way it looks to technique to the type of canvas/medium used. It's the same thing with games, a game could look better than it's competitors and still be a broken game.

You are very wise my friend :D Thank you. I just love games. It pains me to see a game not live up to it's full potential at the developer's fault.
