dose that make it somehow unfair in your eyes? if the game is exclusive that would eliminate the confusion of people using alternate versions of a game that might not be frm that system as a representation of what it looks like on either system in the discussion.

Definitely PS3. The 360 has been lacking in pushing the graphical boundries. ME2 was fantastic looking though, and GeOW2 is still an incredibly impressive game graphically. But compared to UC2 and GOW3... PS3 is winning.

Ps3 definitely has the edge with 3 games,but some people make it to be like every ps3 exclusive looks better then anything on 360.Developers really took it to next level with ps3,that said i think 360 catch it with Crysis 2,Rage,Reach,AW,and with first game of them all Red Dead Redemption.I would argue that game is almost impressive as UC2,considering its open world.It has better vistas :D

It was quick port and has only downgraded res,but that said they could make it 4xaa 720p if they used tiling,which they didnt,if you dont use tiling and want aa on res of 720p on 360 you are gonna end in sub hd field because it just does not fit in 10mb of edram :D

This is a silly debate. As of right now PS3 has the better looking exclusives. Anyone who thinks otherwise is not just a lemming, but a hardcore lemming because even most lemmings admit to it.

You keep beating around the bush and avoiding people left and right. Just admit that PS3 exclusives look better than Xbox 360 exclusives. This thread is clearly about exclusives but you bring in the multiplat chart and deflect all exclusive game comments. You keep saying "I think", but there are no opinions in graphics. No such thing as I think ____ looks better than Crysis. Either it does or it doesnt.

The true test is exclusive graphics because each system gets its own dedicated development time. Multiplats are ported from one system to another and mostly favor the 360 because developing on a 360 is so similar to developing on a PC. So you bringing in the multiplat chart is just avoiding the question.

PS3 is safe doing extremely confined games, just like GoW3 with titans the size of the sears tower being rendered all at once.

You need the option: "Same". The question asks which system offer better graphics. I take that as asking us to consider all games offered. Both systems have had games that have stood out both in exclusives and multi-plats. So thinking on these lines I'd call it a draw. If only considering exclusives, then based on reviews and what I've seen so far I'd lean toward the PS3. But it seems to me that the overall difference, if one exists, would be small.Fumpa

there was a time, when 360 exclusives were largely considered better visually than the PS3's visuals.... now the tides have turned, for now at least. I think Alan Wake will be on par with Uncharted 2... and RDR looks fantastic (wish it was on PC too, probably will be in 6 months)

I'd say that by the end of this year, if there isn't a 360 exclusive that can beat Uncharted 2... then its almost etched in stone that the PS3 is more capable in producing visuals.

However that said, the developer plays the biggest role in whether or not a game looks good or not.

Of games out right now? Ps3 leads obviously. We'll see at the end of the year.

The PS3 is roughly twice as powerful as the 360, but it's also MUCH more difficult to develop for. The reason why some games look better on 360 is because often times devs aren't familar with the complicated architecture of the PS3 (wheras the 360 is similar to a PC).

You are pulling stuff out of your ass.Xgpu is considerably better then rsx while on cpu side ps3 has that edge,but i dont know where do people get those "facts" that cell has as much power as you need,for everything,you name it...graphics...lightning,vertex,pixel shaders,culling,skinning,MLAA,HDR,physics,a.i,lightning and they are left with some more to say you can do much more with ps3,they hardly scratched surface.:roll:

well, pure exclusives battle i would give to the PS3. however, 2 of the best looking games of this gen, imo, were multiplats.

honestly, my favorite exclusive on the PS3 was infamous, and it certainly wasn't cutting edge graphically (though it looked okay). i also loved ODST, and its by no means the best looking game out there. nice graphics are important, but i really think they weigh in too heavily in system wars.
