Great Games that Keep You Amazed

For me, its Okami, Castlevania: Symphony of the Nightand Red Dead Redemption. I have played many great games in my lifetime but few have made me truly feel something. You could agree or disagree with my list.

But what games do you love?

Final Fantasy from IV to X.
Donkey Kong Country 1 + 2
Valkyria Chronicles
Starwing
Mario Bros 3

These games are timeless for me.

Uncharted Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2 Among Thieves still keep me amazed and impressed every time I play through them again.

Grand Theft Auto IV still impresses me to this day.

Super Mario RPG

Fallout 3

Ocarina of Time. This game really was ahead of it's time.

Amazed? Heres my list (doesn't mean they are my favorite games)

Them Guilty Gears are always fun. :D

Super metroid. Just got it off virtual console. IMO it may be better than Prime.

Most Mario platformers
Metroid Prime
Super Metroid

Those are the first that come to mind.

Mass effetc 1 and 2. BORDERLANDS by far my favorite for the last year or so. Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Gears 1 and 2 as well as Oblivion for the last 5 years. these will keep me busy until Rage and Mass effect 3 come out. As thats all I am buying this year, with Battle field 3 and Saints row the third being up in the air.

Battlefield Bad Company 2

Super Mario Bros 3, Streets of Rage 2, Sonic 2, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Halo CE, RDR, etc

Mario 64, Wave Race, Blast Corps, Star Fox, Star Fox 64, Link to the Past, Super Mario World, DCK.

The ones that I have played various times through the years and that still have my respect are:

GTA 3-VC-SA

NOLF2: ASIHW

Super Metroid

Metal Gear Solid

Crysis' graphics have amazed me every day since 2007.

As for overall game quality.. Metal Gear Solid 4. The voice acting is top notch. The storyline is top notch. The soundtracks are top notch. The graphics (were) top notch. The sound design is top notch. Etc. Few games if any have surpassed it in any of the aforementioned aspects. (ME2 is a runner up for Voiceover, Bioshock for story and BF:BC2 for sound quality) But as an overall package MGS4 easily the best game this gen, and prolly alll time.
