TL;DR

Bascially, although the Xbox One has a couple more launch games, the PS4 has WAY more games in development.

They do, in fact, make a note of that:

Some things to note:

• Microsoft has more games that are truly exclusive, but Sony has many more "console exclusives," which mainly overlap with concurrent Vita and PC versions.
• More than half of the launch library for each system overlaps with the other system.
• Most of the PS4's advantage in total games and console exclusives comes from a bevy of independent titles they've been promoting quite heavily, largely from existing PC titles.
• Neither system seems set to have an RPG or platform game at launch.
• Generic shooters and/or action games of various stripes make up roughly half of each system's announced games

Although, I would say it's very short-minded to only be counting Big Production Value games as "proper games". What counts s a "proper" game is highly subjective. This is simply a breakdown of the games you can play on each system and the genres they fit into.

Seems to me that both systems have a solid number of titles being available at launch or else currently under development !!

Shouldnt this be good news to gamers looking forward to get a PS4 or X1 (or both) ?

Isnt gone home going to be digital only?  Wasnt that such a big deal?  Retail always will be a grandeur experience.   Plus isnt it on the pc?

Gotta love cows always trying to move the goal post but okay, lets run with that and now indies, XBLA and PC/360 only games ( console exclusives ) count therefore 360 stomped all over PS3 by a light year or two this gen :o amright? :P

I still think it's funny that pre-E3, everyone loved indie games, but now that Sony is cornering the top indie devs onto the Vita/PS4, everyone hates indie games on this forum. Sigh.LordOfPoms

The Witcher 2, Left 4 Dead 1 & 2, Metro 2033, SC:Conviction, Alan Wake,.......Must suck being a Cow. I would mention XBLA games that are not on the PS3 but I don't have 2 spare hours to gloat.

Let me get this straight. Xbots can run around touting Titanfall is a gift from gaming gods. A CONSOLE EXCLUSIVE that will, undoubtedly come to the PS4.

But PS-fans cant talk about the influx of indie developers, proving Sony's large step in the right direction, because they are console exclusive. Then they have to ignore games that are also on the vita the because they aren't exclusive to the PS4.

Seems to me we have some major damage control rolling through Botville.

I'll take those unique indies over rehashed AAA games. I'll also take a few of those rehashed AAA games.

Lol, Sony has been doing these 14 hour long presentations where they mention every game that'll be on the PS4 for the next 2-3 years. Considering that of course there's more games to list for it right now.

It's very simple.

That is quite a few games to play on the PS4. The whole "console exclusive" while the game on the PC is foolish but the majority of people buying PS4s aren't going to be playing games on the PC. It's a great lineup for many console gamers. It's not terribly exciting for us with PCs.
