Greatest arcade racer ever? 56K

For me it's a tie between these two:

Daytona USA (Dreamcast edition/update/revamp)

And Sega Rally Championship 2

System Wars related because the DC has the best arcade racers :D

But SEGA Saturn and PC get an honourable mention for having the previous versions of each game.

Well since GT and Forza are out, i'd say Motorstorm. I have such good times playin with friends in that game.

Arcade racers are hardly fun in my oppinnion. The gameplay is to easy, skilless, and dry.

Burnout Paradise or PGR4.

Any F-Zero game..

I spent lots of money on Daytona (arcade version) back in 94. Its probably my most played arcade racer all time! Right now my favourite arcade racer are the PGR series

Burnout 3 Takedown. It was excellent.

F-Zero GX/AX. Certainly not easy, skilless or dry.

NFS underground 2 or Most wanted.

I loved the insane level of customisation on Underground 2. It was as big a part of the game as the racing and nothing was better than spending a ton doing everything on your car. Hydraulics so it bounced along the road, making your bonnet spew out coloured nitrous gas, Coloured headlamps, glass, vinals and decals, rims that spinned in the opposite direction, speakers, TV in your boot and neon glow from under your car.

Most wanted then brung police chases into the mix which has to be one of the most fun gaming driving experiences ever.

Its a shame EA dropped the ball with the latest instalments but Im hoping ne of the 3 versions theyre making will be just like Underground 2, just for the crazy customisations :D

My opinion might change once I play Paradise.

Best Arcade Racer Evar!!!!

IMO F-Zero series, Mario Kart Series, Hydro Thunder, Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer (I played the N64 version), Kinetica (Hopefully Sony would make a sequal), Top Gear (SNES), and Wave Race.

Burnout Paradise IMO

Any GT game followed by any Burnout game....
