Ps2 vs GC vs Xbox was a very good one. So many great games came out then. That generation showed why competition is important.

Sega Genesis vs SNES.

There's really no debate, unless you're 12-15 years-old, or never existed during those times.

NES, because there was really only one system to buy, so all your friends had nes games that you could borrow or trade. There was none of buying a system for a couple exclusives, or spending $50.00 on a stock controller. Heck the NES came with TWO controllers, TWO games, and an accesory (zapper). Thats unheard of in these days.

Yes, there is a debate, even for people older than 15. They're called opinions, and sometimes people have some that differ from your own.

This one and I have been gaming since the early 80s. Trying to Play old games from those days is downright scary now.

N64/Ps1, particularly if you count PC games that came out in those years.

5th generation.

Half Life, Starcraft, Ocarina of Time, and so on. All those legendary classics can't be beat by comparison.

I would say in the mid 80s to late 90s. Most of the games made then on PC defined the genre to this day.

Starcraft
Warcraft
Dune 2000
Command and Conquer
Heavy Gear 2
Starsiege Tribes
Half-Life
Counterstrike
Team Fortress
Quake
Doom
Planetside
Ultima IV
Eye of Beholder
Wing Commander
UFO
Civ
MOO
Simcity
Railroad Tycoon
Magic Candle 1

The fifth generation. That generation was something special. So many cIassics on each of the big three systems, many genre defining genres, and the release of many of the PC Gaming Greats as well. Even the lamer systems like the 3D0 and Jaguar had some good stuff on them.

Almost 24, started gaming way before the SNES and Genesis were even out. I still like the PS1/N64 era more.
