This gen, last gen any generation! Post pics too, i don't know how because i am newb.
My favourite is probably Majora's Mask from Zelda: Majoras Mask :P
Worst is probably Gears of War 2. Game ended on such a low note.

This guy from Halo 3 :| (worst end boss battle ever IMO)

To think that ended the whole trilogy!
Atleast they didnt roll the credits after beating him you still had the epic explosion filled escape bit :D[QUOTE="Wii_Gamer_277"]

It didn't! :x I don't think that can even be considered a boss fight, it was just... a little ball you had to shoot once or twice. :Pworst is a competition between mirror's edge, uncharted drake fortune, and fable 2. I'm giving it to fable 2. Both bosses are the worst I've seen in long period of times. The giant shard is up there as worlds worst bosses and then lucien (lucifer?) was horrible.
uncharted drake fortunenhh18
that was... truly awful.
gears 2's little last segment with the hammer of dawn was really bad too, especially when riding the brumak had been so awesome. prototypes final boss was pretty crappy too, all you could really do was run away and throw crap at him.
a really good final boss was dolf from vandal hearts and lavos from chrono trigger.
I thought uncharteds fight was suited with the rest of the game, there wasnt a enemy in the game that took more then a few shots to kill, if they made the last boss something epic, or have a huge life bar it wouldnt have made any sense, the challenge building up to the last fight was the challenge if anything.
I dont get why people assume all games need boss fights, i think they are very overrated, and if done wrong, which happens all the time, they can be stupid.
For example, i love all the MGS games, but the boss fights are usually less of a challenge then i imagine. Usually they show some cutscene of the boss killing guys with out flinching, but when you VS them its like they are trying to get killed. Basically every boss in MGS4, with the except of the last boss was like that.
MGS games tend to be a bit easy or at least the boss. If you want a challenge they offer many alternatives to killing them if you take the stealth route its much harder.I thought uncharteds fight was suited with the rest of the game, there wasnt a enemy in the game that took more then a few shots to kill, if they made the last boss something epic, or have a huge life bar it wouldnt have made any sense, the challenge building up to the last fight was the challenge if anything.

Oh man How can I forget that "epic battle" who at lionhead thought that would be interesting to do ? :roll:Worst: Fable II
Runner up: Gears of War 2
ThePRAssassin
BEST: FFX (I don't wanna put spoilers)
WORST: Halo or Halo 2. You fought that stupid, the arbitor... I think
You didnt fight the arbitor in any of the halo games :?BEST: FFX (I don't wanna put spoilers)

I liked the final confrontation with "The Boss" in MGS3,it was very artistic and well put together having to fight her' in the field of flowers and all...
I also really like Kefka in FF6..it was very Apocalyptic as well as intense..and goes to show that Kefka >Sephiroth.
runner ups..
Tyrant = Resident Evil/REmake
Zeus = God of War 2
Mother Brain = Metroid
Ganon = OoT
I was trying to think of the best that I remember, and Super Metroid has one of the best end boss fights ever. I also remember Soul Reaver's boss fights being pretty cool, almost like puzzles more than straight-out fights.
Dead Space has the most pathetic ending I've ever experienced, hands down. Narrative-wise, boss-wise, etc.
Radec/Visari Palace (KZ2) on Elite is probably my favorite, just because of how difficult, intense, beautiful and appealing to the ears the fights leading up to him are. Radec himself is a joke, but it his [spoiler] suicide [spoiler] fit the mood fantastically.
For me, the best boss battlewas with MGS4 at the very end. I don't want to spoil it but the view, music was just spectacular and filled with wonderful nostalgia.XxSTILL_BORNxXI hated it. All you did was just jam square (or whatever button melee is, haven't played MGS4 in a while), and BAM! game complete. It was a terrible ending to an excellent game.

You think Halo Haters know anything about the game?
The worst for me is probably from Final Fantasy X, didn't feel much like a challenge at all and I was sort of dissappointed with this.
The best boss fight is probably from Knight of the Old Republic, didn't have a clue what was going on for the first ten minutes of this battle.
I didn't include the name of the bosses just in case someone haven't play these games yet, didn't want to spoil it for someone.
Best is definitely Lucien from Fable II. I didn't know how I was going to do that one, but it was so satisfying once I finally got him down.
Worst that I can remember from this gen:
Gears 2- As much as I loved the game... the last boss fight was horrible. By the time I realized what I was doing, the fight was over:|
Killzone 2- 15 minutes of fighting waves of enemies just to have Radec start teleporting near me and then just like stand there, wanting me to empty all my ammo into him?
Halo 3- Too easy to be the end fight of the trilogy.
Bioshock- I was kind of hoping he would of used more of a variety of plasmids.
Dead Space- I expected more from such an atmospheric game.
GTA4- Compared to SA's or VC's endings, this one was pretty weak.
Best from this gen:
MGS4- Fitting for the end of Snake's story. Filled with a lot of nostalgia.
No More Heroes- One of the most fun boss fights I've done in a while.
Gears of War- Challenging while not frustrating... What Gears 2's ending should of been.
Best of all time:
Shenmue II - The Rooftop fight was the best boss fight ever.
Kingdom Hearts 1/2 - Challenging, long, and fun.
Golden Sun/ Golden Sun 2- Same as above.
SoTC- No need to explain:P
Sarcasm I hope :lol:Best is definitely Lucien from Fable II. I didn't know how I was going to do that one, but it was so satisfying once I finally got him down.
MetroidPrimePwn
Greatest: Zelda OoT and TP
Worst: Dead Space
I mean I love the story but the boss was so easy. I had more trouble with the an**.
MrGanny
Easy? And you mention TP as one of the best? I can beat him without getting hit once! All you need to do is continously back-slice Ganondorf and then follow up with the normal combo.
