Greenpeace said it, so you know it's good!

I don't buy into global warming bs propaganda, so I couldn't care less.

huh?
So what does that make the Kyoto Protocol?
Anything that has to do with the U.N. is bunk.

i just learned about that on like wednesday
Yet the ps3 still uses alot more energy to run.
and aren't green peace the guys that ram boats into oil tankerS?
Good, now I know I keeping the Earth greener by playing my PS3 rather than any other system.NYrockinlegendexcept it still takes more energy to run a ps3 then a 360.
Doesn't a PS3 suck up more electricity than a refrigerator? Juggernaut140Well. It's not only about how much power does it consume, but the industrial process (energy, waste, etc...) of making the machines and materials in making a product (recyclable, etc...)
GreenPeace is for plants as PETA is for animals.
Therefore GreanPeace is made of fail.
Besides, they RAM oil tankers and whale fishers. WTF GreanPeace
[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]The answer is 4 post up. Also the PS3 costs the tax payers more money becuz teh PStriple weighs so much that it gives people back problems trying to carry it causing them to go to the emergency room. :P  ;)PS3 has the largest carbon footprint because it uses the most power.

Did you believe that being "enviromentaly friendy" is all about power consuption of the machine but not power consuption of the industrial process that makes the machine? Also, It's about waste and industrial process waste too.[QUOTE="kentaro22"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"]

Thats false. It says Sony is the most environmental friendly, not the PS3. In 2007, they did a study and the Wii used the least power with 360 2nd, and PS3 last. Sony may be environmentally friendly but the PS3 is not.LoseEagles1245Yeah, this is about Sony as a whole, and primarily their televisions and handheld devices at that. It doesn't even bother to reference the PS3 much.
20k years ago North America was covered in ice, which then later melted without the help of evil humans and their game consoles.
Britain had the longest cold winter this year since 1996, which is the opposite of what global warming advocates predicted. They have been wrong about a few other things as well:

Just a few points to think about before you accept the carbon guilt nonsense.

Global Warming doesn't necessarily mean winters should be warmer etc.

It doesn't even bother to reference the PS3 much. Exactly, the main source from Greenpeace doesn't even mention the consoles. It talks about "VAIO" PCs, TV's, Walkman, camcorders, and digital cameras. lolfaqs is just trying to be a troll.

oh ur that type of person no suprise there The U.N. has been exposed before the entire world to be powerless, redundant and irrelevant...[QUOTE="Bigboi500"]The answer is 4 post up. Um no the answer isn't that because if you make something out of cheese wiz if it takes more power to run the thing for a week then it took to make it then it equals out.PS3 has the largest carbon footprint because it uses the most power.

Greenpeace does not know anything. They refuse to see Nuclear as a soruce of power, when it is the best type of power we have. It is fairly clean and safe.

An economic treaty.

Beat me to it. The world's temperature was going up and down long before we got here.
On topic: Meh.
[QUOTE="kentaro22"][QUOTE="Bigboi500"]The answer is 4 post up. Um no the answer isn't that because if you make something out of cheese wiz if it takes more power to run the thing for a week then it took to make it then it equals out. If it does it does, if it doesn't it doesn't. Remember that insdustrial energy efficiency deal im huge numbers. so even if one industry is 10% more energy efficient than other, it still trumps over 10% more power consuption of the consumer machine, as it doesn't run all the time while that industry runs almost all the time. Even if it did, What about waste? What about durability (machines with high durability has less not fucntioning part in a landfill), reciclable materials, material that decompose rapidly, non toxic material used in the machine or the industrial process?PS3 has the largest carbon footprint because it uses the most power.

Why should I care about what a bunch of tree huggers say?
SpinoRaptor24
And definitly misinformed. The Ps3 takes a lot of power to run.

And I can definately say that it takes more to run the 20 million ps3s sold then it does to make the amount they make a month.

Global Warming doesn't necessarily mean winters should be warmer etc.
http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/global-warming-may-lead-to-colder-winters-in-britain-406084.html
But if Britain instead had record high winters that would have also be used as evidence of global warming, no?
An explanation as to how it could happen is not the same as an actual prediction. It seems that to be a global warming scientist all you have to do is provide an explanation as to how weather phenomenon x could be caused by global warming, but don't actually predict when it will happen because that will show how little you really know. Just provide some general conjecture and let the advocates do the rest.
But more importantly there were record colds around the world in 2007-2008, which the IPCC didn't predict. In fact the IPCC incorrectly predicted that the earth would warm by 1F from 1998-2008 as the result of increased co2 emissions. The emissions happened but the warming did not.
