Downlaod.... it....?? hmm so your one of those..pirates huh? :x .... lol :P.. cant wait to for this game.. a day 1 buy :D
Awesome. When I get a PSP again (if i do) i may check it out, i was afraid some the "awkward gameplay mechanics" some reviewers who gave it 6's would stand out in gamespots review, but apparently those didn't bother gamespot
I hope the people who buy this will love it
What else does PSP have left for the last 4 months of 09? Coz i'm pretty safe in the DS vs PSP bet i made last december. What does this make the PSP at this year? 9 A/AA games? I think
It didn't bother gamespot because it isn't awkward gameplay mechanics, its unique gameplay that has never been done in exactly this way before (not to say its innovative, just different), so it takes some getting used to, the other reviews probably only speant a few hours with it, then just wrote up the review.Awesome. I didn't expect such a high score after playing the demo... the combat felt kinda monotonous to me and the characters had like 2 or 3 attacks. That's lame.

There is definitely some initial awkwardness; the contextual moves (running up walls and grinding across rails) combined with camera lock-on can give the camera fits from time to time, so there is more camera management than some would have liked. I noted the issue in the review, but it is something you come to grips with. If you get used to dancing around each other while locked on 100% of the time, you will never shed the awkwardness completely. Once you are able to better manage when to release target lock and become accustomed to the arenas, you'll spend less time running up walls only to smack into the ceiling. I think of it as learning the tracks in a racing game; once you know the track, you can adjust to its curves. The same is true with Dissidia. But the review says what I think. The more I played, the more the game gave me stuff I cared about. That kind of long-term rewards system is what more games need to keep us glued to the screen.

That's good to hear... stupid demo!!
As i mention in the review, characters unlock more attacks, and you can change out attacks with new ones as you earn them. There isn't as much combat variety as in a traditional fighter, but this is a game that succeeds because of how it functions over time; I didn't play the demo, but I can't imagine a demo could give you a taste of what makes Dissidia actually great. It doesn't unload all its tricks in an hour or two--it doles them out in a way that keeps you coming back to see what gifts you will earn next.I didn't expect such a high score after playing the demo... the combat felt kinda monotonous to me and the characters had like 2 or 3 attacks. Sorry, didn't read the review tbh
But what you say sounds really cool. I like unlocking new stuff and if that means new attacks, I guess my complain is voided. Thanx!! :D

ehh, nothing exciting sounding to me except J&D but i'll buy that on PS2, i was really disapointed LBP PSP has no multiplayer and a lot of the levels from the PS3 version, so that means bad, insanely easy floaty platforming, meh. GT sounds cool, loved 4. Battlefront? Lol. Seriously i've played BF2 and Renegade on PSP and they were horrible (IMO, i hated the awkward aiming and lock on, or attempted lock on) I wouldn't put Battlefront as a game worth mentioning on the DS's list, is that Loco Roco Midnight Carnival out this year? or Fat Princess PSP?
FP on PSP would almost make me get a PSP but, 8 players is sad. i hate the matches with only 10-15 people online, too boring, 20-32 is hectic fun.
Psp has some good stuff coming definetly, but i'm feeling pretty safe in my bet (that everyone who took me up has backed out of) that DS will have twice as many A/AA/AAA games as PSP in 2009 on gamespot (it has 4 times as many as PSP on metacritic this year, ouch)
But i suppose GTA:CW may get AAA on PSP, should get A at least
I played this game a couple of months ago (JPN version) on my friend's PSP. It's pretty fun. I would buy this, but sadly...I gave my PSP away a long time ago.
Looks decent.. kinda like smash bros. Didn't see any mention of imbalanced characters.. wonder if there are any.
Espada12
If only it WERE like Smash bros., then it would've held my interest for more than a couple hours.
Gameplay is just not fun. Adding new moves really isn't going to change that (imo)
Great score! But about MGS PW, im more hyped for that game than most console games. It just looks so polished from the trailer than most console games. Dare I say it may get a 9.5? :shock:Looks decent, I'll be getting a PSP sometime (MGS: Peacewalker, damn you Kojima and forcing me to buy a PSP for this game...) So I might pick it up then.
Also the fighting reminds me a lot of the DBZ Budokai series

PSP if getting back in the game, with titles such as DISSIDIA, Gran Turismo, MGS Peacewalker,Soul Calibur,SOCOM, Persona, Valkyria Chronicles,Jak & Dexter and many others...
