GS loves Halo a little too much?

And no I'm not referring to scores.

I'm talking about how they feel the need to justify's Halo 3's visuals -- again.

If any of you remember, they did a Halo 2/Halo 3 picture comparison to prove that Halo 3 was not Halo 2 HD.

Well they just did it again.

What's going on Gamespot? Running out of material? Why don't I see some FIFA 08 demo impressions on the front page or something that, you know, I haven't seen before.

Every review I've read on Halo 3 says the only downside was the visuals. They're good, but nothing spectacular.

Despite this, GS manages to create two articles worshipping Halo 3's graphics like it's the Crysis rival. They wrote a paragraph praising the character models, while Gametrailers (who gave Halo 3 a 9.8 ), said the character models were the most dissapointing thing in the game.

We all know Halo 3 looks better GS, what the hell are you trying to prove and why don't you have anything better to do?

Halo is popular.

Gamespot loves money.

Popularity = money.

The same can be said on how they review games lately.

I mean like. Thats just ignorance and or denial.

They have as many articles about Halo as they do about not-Halo. It's making me so sick of this site pandering to Microsoft that I simply stop reading it. I go on these forums now and that's it. Microsoft couldn't have gotten better advertising from this site if they'd paid for it.

I remember a time when the background of hte site was 'hal game fuel', the ad at site entry was 'halo 3 at walmart', the news bits were 'halo 3 review - 9.5), 'all oyu need to know about halo', and 'halo expected to break records for sales', blah blah blah. I don't really blame them, they're people trying to cater to a fanbase, but calling this unbiased egalitarian reporting is a cruel joke.

It's just out of respect for the mods. We don't need to hassle them with a large amount of Halo 3 Threads when we have the Official Stickied Thread.

Everyone knows that if you tried to start any sort of discussion in the Halo 3 official thread, it would get flooded to the next page in a matter of seconds and be missed.

If a mod honestly believes that you can have multiple full discussions in one thread, than go ahead and close this. That's what they get paid to do -- or..they do get paid right?

That's not why it's dismal. It's dismal because if I play you, and have a great time, if I'm not your friend, odds are I'll never be able to play you again. And, I won't be able to tell how good I am compared to everyone else playing.

They haven't given info about all the modes yet.

IMO Halo 3 is very over-rated... After playing it for some time at a friends house, I can not justify playing this game over the numerous fps's both single and multiplayer on the pc platform.. I thought the original Halo wasn't bad.. But this one just seems overhyped imo, same gameplay.. Only a few new weapons, no real different game types, singleplayer is alright.. But in the end I can think of numerous games better.. The only reason imo I would play the game is due to teh co-op/split screen.sSubZerOo

This thread is getting commented on, hell, most people are actually agreeing with me. I really don't think anyone is bothered by it, and if a mod feels it necessary to click a few buttons to close this thread, I hope he survives. It's a tough job afterall.

OK and its marketing along with the fact that we know its not gonna stop selling makes it bigger than GT and MGS...what did GTA have to do with it? GTA is bigger than Halo, never said it wasnt...ur arguments are confusing?
