Pretty good scores, but not surprise the PC version got a lower score.>_> No review on the Wii version yet.

Should be an 8.0.

Hey how is the Wii version? I might get it tomorrow if it good.
It's very good. While the graphics aren't very good per se, the stylized art looks great. Also, using the Wiimote to capture ghosts is a blast. I've only played an hour of the Wii version, but it's just as satisfying as the 360 version, but just in a different kinda way. 360 is about the cinematic graphics, while Wii is more about control and style.
[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"]Pc version should be a 4, no reason for that kind of port. aaronmullanWhat's wrong with it? Higher system requirements then Crysis and no multiplayer among other things.

Good to hear.:) Well I probably pick it up tomorrow then. I wasn't planning to get this game before, but I love Ghostbusters, so what the heck lol. Would have been interested in getting the PC version, but with its... well you know what I am talking about.

[QUOTE="BioShockOwnz"]/p>how do you set traps with the wii version? You press Z on the Nunchuk. Wii version comes tomorrow, I should be finishing it up tonight (I didn't have as much time to play it today as I thought). Atari didn't send PSP or PS2 versions, so I am planning on picking them up at GameStop if I can. It's very good. While the graphics aren't very good per se, the stylized art looks great. [QUOTE="Kevin-V"] You press Z on the Nunchuk. hy4kwtf? you cant use the throwing motion of the nunchuck? it's like this game was built for the wii and they still managed to mess it up
to set a trap? :?

Higher system requirements then Crysis and no multiplayer among other things. For "Good" requirements you need a GTX260 or higher and 4gb of Ram so they say. forgot the requirements for the Processor but its not worth it even tho I have a GTX260 then they threw the DRM in there with the game. So far I think even my 8300 Quad core would have a hard time keeping this game at a nice framerate on max.
Intresting... I have not liked gamespots reviews lately

do you know what the average review score is for it? :?

wii remote is the gun, nunchuck is the trap. aim and shoot with wimote, throw the nunchuck for the trap. perfect
this game just went from a buy to a rent thanks once again to incompetent third party developers on the wii. jokers cant even get a game this perfect right

In the PS3/360 version of the game, you could slam at will to daze the ghost and get them in the trap, but on the Wii, it's more of a Simon Says mini-game. You'll have the guy tied up, and an arrow will pop up. You fling your Wii-mote in the direction of the arrow, and the ghost follows suit on the screen. Do this enough times, and the purple health bar will be empty so that you can send the ghoul into the waiting trap (deployed by holding Z and making a bowling motion with the nunchuk).

It sounds like you do a throwing motion while holding Z.

I laughed a litlle. Something that simple turned a buy to a rent? Even more so, shouldn't the devs be thinking about convience and being comfortable over a mechanic that "you" think makes sense? (since most of us know constantly throwing the nunchuk can get annoying)

In ghostbusters you hold Z and make a bowling motion to set traps. Calm down. :P
Don't let the load times make you miss an otherwise awesome Ghostbusters game.Much better than I expected to be honest. I only wish I could rent games in the timewarp backwater that is my town, because I'm definitely not buying it after hearing about those 30 second load times when you die.

LOL--I didn't realize my quick comment would cause such an odd furor. It was quickly typed as I was headed out the door. Yes, you press z and motion with the nunchuk, though there is so little motion needed you might as well just press Z anyway.
I will give you a quick pre-review, however: I really like Ghostbusters on the Wii.

I really don't see what the problem is with them. I have had a few gripes with some of them, but it is the same for all magazines/websites. At least GameSpot hasn't hasn't completely missed the point of a game before (IGN) or given out inaccurate information (Game Informer).

Wanderer5WTF that is the worst thing i've ever heard. they've turned one of the best parts of it into quicktime events because they're lazy and cheap hope the games bombs now. they managed to bork the PC AND Wii versions
kevin, why dont you guys hire more reviewers? you're probably the most popular videogame site and you're affiliated with gamefaqs, metacritic etc yet you only seem to have a handful of people doing reviewsLOL--I didn't realize my quick comment would cause such an odd furor. KevinV what type of PC did you test the game on? It seems that the system requirements for the game were ridiculous so I'm going with the 360 version unless that's somehow a type or someting of that sort. Can you clarify if it requires an insanely good rig to run? I didn't see it mentioned anywhere in the summary of your review so I am going to assume it was not a problem.

even if that's what he's referring to, it's still something i see from plenty of other people.
While I am biased, being the person that wrote it, I don't see anything sloppy about it (I suppose boring is a matter of opinion, though I don't find my writing boring). I glanced at the other major reviews for this game this afternoon, some of which go on and on about how the author is a fan of the films, or talk about how they didn't even play multiplayer, which is one of the better things about the game. Or mention how he played the game on the easiest mode, which is crazy talk imho. You may not like the style or choice of words, but as far as I can tell, my review of Ghostbusters is structured well, reasoned properly, and uses proper grammar and form. I can see if someone feels it's dry--but I would rather stay on point and evaluate what's important rather then go on and on about things that don't matter just for the sake of being entertaining.[QUOTE="raynimrod"]
I think he or she is just referring to the quality of the review. In which case I 100% agree. The reviews are sloppy and boring now.
Kevin-V
Oh and Kevin, my above comment expressing disdain over reviews wasn't a stab at yours, I generally like your reviews. I'm just referring to GS reviews in general.
