GS Reviews

What is more reliable a systematic average of all scores by many pro reviewers or one guy in the gamespot office's opinion? Personally i like to get a more broad view of what ppl think rather than trusting ONE all mighty power of justice.

Dont like it? Go elsewhere ..... I personally dont want 20 or so either Biased or "Genuine" websites totaling up an average when they willingly throw out perfect 10s ...

just what i was going to say. I think GS does a good job of reviewing games, and i'd rather not mix their reviews with some random site i've never heard of.

How can anyone not be biased? If someone likes something they give it a high score. That means they favor it more than another game.... definition of biased. So if more ppl like a game it will show on metacritic, but at GS it is an opinion of one guy......

in reality i use many reviews from many sources, and play the demo where possible, before i buy a game. however THIS. IS. SYSTEM WARS!!! (sorry couldnt resist :P). here gamespots word is law.

its all good fun though :D. a bit like gambeling and discussing who is the best horse breeder and why.

Gamerankings isn't the best source. Reviews are averaged together, but all review are not equal. Some places have only 5 possible scores (such as 4/5)for a review and others have 100 (such as 8.7/10).SuperVegeta518

But that still doesnt mean that its not a more accountable source. What if only one guy voted for the president instead of the whole electoral college.

Reviewers have to tone down thier bias, in GS case they are mostly more critical than other websites on all games, **** websites that was giving Zelda TP a perfect freaking 10 jsut because its zelda are a disgrace yet they are counted into gamerankings and its in the top 20 of all time (should NOT be ) while greater games are being knocked out due to freaking franchise lovers.

But no this site iwll discredit anything for the slightest mistakes not suger coat everything, and that is why I use this website, not freaking gamerankings.

dont you guys think that a game which scores 9.7 as an average can distinguish itself as better than a game that scores a 9.4 average even if they both got a 9.5 on gamespot?nippon_gamer

But then why Did Half-Life 2 win SOTY even GOTY on alot of sites compare with Halo 2 which still has a higher ranking hmmm?

Scores down to the 0.1 are overated drivel designed for you all to bicker over.
