GS still reliable?? M.E.

Come on 8.5? Even though Gamerankings has at just under 9.4 right now which ranks it top 50 ALL TIME from combined ratings from all the sites together. That puts it overHalo 3 and God of War and just behind games like GTA3, MGS, and Gears of war.

Which means it should have got a 9.0-9.5 here.

I mean does the guy not like RPGs or something? He says Combat was weak for the bad categoary. Even though he said useing bionic powers was fun? Contradiction rightthere.So if being able torun around shoot and take cover and use power in a RPG this deep then what adjective do you use forthe action in games like KOTOR and FF? And his only other complaint was annoying interface issuses.

Whatever good action you get from the game is just iceing on the cake the reviewer didnt really get that. I think some action is better than no action even if it is weak.

So let me get this correct. A ps3 game flops all 360 fanboys make a thread about it attacking the ps3. A 360 game flops, 360 fanboys make a thread crying about it, and saying that GS is not to be trusted with game scores. While when it flops on the ps3, is all "oh, thats the correct score", "hahahaha ps3 has no AAA yet". But if a game that yous thought would not flop, flops you just cry. I think some of yous guys are taking this game scoring thing to the heart. Buy a game because YOU want to play,not of what kind of score it gets.

And supposedly Wii was stuck with the lil kids, but look who are making the threads crying about scores.

Just enjoy whatever system you have, and play the game that you like. Dont play a game cause it got a high, or low score ... its just stupid.

get over it. what message would they send out to developers if they gave a game with that many problems a 9.5?

The universe alone is simply great, complex, "real", the game just sucks you in. I noticed some negative points too, nonetheless MassEffect is 100% better then Assasins Creed wich got a 9.0

If you can overlook the small problems it has, its one heck of a game! (one of the greatest i have ever played).

Too bad many small negativ points sum up more then one big one at GS. Buy it, and have fun with one of the best games ever made. Really!

P.S. In my opinion gamespot is overrating multiplayer games somehow, perhaps MP is more fun to them, who knows.

P.P.S. Where the hell is the weak combat? Its a great system and fits into the game perfectly. In the Bioshock review those "power" were hyped revolutionary gameplay. Here its weak? Too bad most cows calling ME a flop now havent even had a look at it.

I don't see why not. Reviews are supposed to give you an idea if you want to buy the game or not. Gamespot gave this game a very high score and highly recommended you buy it. They may not have given it quite as high of a score as some other places, but its still in the "go buy this game now" range. I don't see the problem?

If you want a review that actually is questionably reliable, look at the Fire Emblem review. Nevermind the Twilight Princess, Mass Effect and Metroid Prime 3 reviews that still gave the games a very high recommendationz, hell even nevermind the Ratchet review that still said the game was good but might not appeal to those outside the fanbase; The Fire Emblem review says the game for the most part just isn't worth the purchase, yet it's still a great game to play. Questionable indeed!
