GT 5 Demo is incredible.

I played in 3 different cockpit views except the black face GTR prototype. Realize this game is gonna be completly different by the time its finished. It doesnt have crash effects or weather in that demo but what it did show me is that it will be the standard of racing sims on all consoles when released in "08". The demo of a "demo" was impresive for what it is.

I guess you must not like online racing games. Burnout is the only one where bumping is really part of the game. in GT, Forza and PGR, people bump to take you completely out of the race. It may always be this way. :(

At least, until they make the games such that front end damage breaks your car.

Looks great. You GT fans though should get on their forums and make sure they improve the environment for the real GT 5 game that comes out in 08/09. They can do a lot better.maabus99

How'd you get the Audi? I've been throwing the Z around and test drove the new Lexus IS F and BMW 1 series. The graphics are superb and the in car (for those available) is amazing

Best looking cars (interior and exterior are superb...looks like my BMW on the inside) ever.

Best looking lighting (the reflections...the shadows going underneath trees n' such) ever.

Least impressive environments (tracks, grass, 2D rails, low res stacked tires, 2D crowd in the stands (?) I've seen. Almost to the point of distraction...but my eyes were mostly on the cars, so it's okay.

Excellent effort so far.

For the love of God...upgrade, man!

The controls feel at little stiff and the environments aren't the greatest, just come to a full stop and look at them ;) The vehicle detail is very good however which is a bonus. I don't think they need to focus on the detail of the cars anymore but the gameplay is where they need to put there focus cause thats where forza 2 came up short, its nice to have things to do with your car but if the gameplay lacks in the racing department it all feels like a lacking experience.

I will say with a wheel it would be better however, controllers just suck for racing games.

Oh well about as fun as R&C demo for me, not my cup of tea but hey it will make others happy as heck.

it's like the visual opposite of PGR. superior cars, weak environments. whereas PGR features superior environemtns and jaggy cars.

If I had to choose one method, I'd prefer better looking cars...but damn it...I hate having to choose at all. Why can't we have excellent cars and excellent environments?

Yea, R2 and L2 FTW. Much better driving, IMO.

Just downloaded the game and I have to say the game looks EXACTLY like any screenshots you have seen. I can't wait for the official demo of this to come!!

The AI in this game is the best I have ever seen in a racer they don't just race in the same line. I messed up and then got back on the road and the car behind me went around me without hitting me!!!!

They also don't race perfectly. You know how in PGR the AI is always on the road they never run off? Doesn't happen in GT they actually mess up and run off the road sometimes to.

Yea totally agree, i didnt notice the environments until the straightaway and theyre not impressive at all, but they are tolerable. I'd rather have awesome looking cars than a nice environment though, but then again it'd be nice to have both. Drove off the road quite a few times while staring at my car lol
